It was a nice match for sure. There were some nice and close rounds. I guess we were a bit too inconsistent because we only had 24h to train after the last match.
On desert TnT had Flammy, SmashD and TWK. We had Gandos, Echo and me. TnT got the first point with Flammy and SmashD up front. The next went to us with Echo and I first. Then TnT went to 3-1 while we made some nice mistakes (usually sliding out). But we in the next round we bouced back to make it 3-2. In the next round I set a pb with the only 53 round of the map, but it didn't do much good when the TnT guys took 2-3-4. In the next round I was back to my sliding 57 rounds... TWK got more consistent towards the end of the map, while we didn't. Therefore the score ended 7-3 to TnT.
Next was rally. A map I hated (but then again; a lot of rally maps are hated by kb players :P), and the hard beginning of the map didn't help with my TCP... This map was really a one way street. Kiff and I tried to keep up with our keyboards, but it was mostly a fight between the three TnT players (IZI, Bestio and BOB68) and Gandos. Some nice threes gave us our two points. Final: 7-2.
Last: Snow. A nice map by Ganja. It started very well for us. We got the first point with Kiff and me. The two TnT drivers in front missed the finish though, so we were lucky. I almost missed it. I jumped over and hit it on the lowest point possible. Infact so low that it took about 2 seconds before the game decided I had finished. I won the next round with Gandos in 3rd. A sure victory you say? Well... Kiff was trying to take the last turn slowly to secure it. The only problem was that he was too careful and went out on the left side of the finish. After respawning he was 0.2 sec too late to finish, so it was a tigh.
In the next round all three elk hunters were on a roll and got a good start. But SmashD got some problems with his pad or his connection. So we had to wait for a few minutes. When he rejoined us, we started making mistakes, and TnT (SmashD, EriKrom and Flammy) does better and takes the map 7-2, even tough there were a lot of close rounds. Was it just a coincidence that SmashD got problems when we finally got the upper hand in the match? (just trying to create a fight after a waaaay too lovely atmosphere in the match (kidding:P)).
Thanks for a great and fair-played match TnT. If we had the time to practice more it could have been really close (the league should have taken a break during Easter). In my mind you were the strongest team besides YS we've faced this season. :) And it was a lot of fun playing with you, so I hope we meet again for a rematch!
GL further!
