We finally played the match (Winzz was present :P) and it was mostly fun driving (also known as bad driving) throughout the match. Personally I was kind of sick of the maps after having to keep them fresh for another two days, and it showed on my driving. Luckily my teammates stepped up, whenever I hit a fence, hole, stone or did an unwilling 180 degree jump. Also thanks to Neocreed, who managed to get an invalid time bug just about everytime I screwed up bigtime (-:
We started on desert. We played with me, Echo and Gandos, while RZA played with Winzz, Neocreed and Mr A (they played all three maps). There's not much to say about this map. It was just too one-sided. It was quite clair that RZA was not at all as prepared as we were. Winzz had some good runs with very little training, but he often crashed in the last half of the track. The elk hunters didn't play too well either, except for Echo, which was the only one performing better than in the qualifying session on Monday. Though Gandos was the best over all. The map ended 7-0 for eh.
So we moved on to Rally, on map which was called "keyboard hell" by another good player (give back my driving skills please!! Starting to miss them now...). So it goes without saying that I was not too confident on this map. Luckily I wasn't the only one, as was shown when the match continued. This map started with crashes from me and Nanteq (which replaced Echo) and a point to RZA, with Winzz winning in front of Gandos. In the next round the two first switched places, while Neo and Mr A made big mistakes. 1-1.
For the most part, these two won the rounds, though I managed to get two wins. The map was one-sided from now on, ending 7-2 to the elk hunters.
Last, but not least: snow. It was played on a good, but buggy map by junio. A lot of small risky moves would have to be done to win the rounds here. Kiff replaced Nanteq to complete our team. The story of this map is about the same as the speed map, only with Neocreed driving better. It was still one-sided, and if Kiff had not pushed the no-no button by mistake, we would have won 7-0, instead it ended 7-1.
Final score: 3-0 to eh (7-0, 7-2, 7-1)
Thx for a fun, but badly played match RZA. And may I add: We got REVENGE for the last two defeats. We (including =ACE= matches) now got a 4-2 record in matches with RZA, and it's always fun. GL for the rest of the season!
