UL2 round 1: eh vs TX

Snow (guom, Gandos, AAssie): Here we got off to a very good start. I won the first four rounds with guom and Gandos doing good rounds to secure the points. On round five I was leading untill 5 soconds before the finish. Then I got a bug entering the road from an offroad part and crashed into the fence. This caused a loss on 2-3 seconds and TX took the point. After this I lost my focus a little, but luckily guom and especially Gandos stepped up their performences so that eh kept getting the points. 7-1 to eh!

Coast (Mojave, Gandos, AAssie): Here we also got off to a good start, leading both 2-1 and 3-2. But then we got a bit more inconsistent (especially me), and we started giving the upper hand to the other team. All rounds were very closely fought, but in the end TX proved a little more consistent and won 7-4.

Island (Rustray, Gandos, Mojave): TX took the lead in almost every round, and was usually ahead at 20-25 seconds. But the hunters were on TX's wheel, to take advantage of every little mistake the TX drivers made. eh took the lead 3-1. TX then managed to close the gap to 4-3, and it was beginning to become a nail biter. Then Mojave stepped up his consistency, leading eh to one point after another. And just to set an example how good nerves we'll have this season, Mojave and Gandos finished 1-2 in the last round with their best times of the match and with Rustray just behind to secure points as he had been doing in all the rounds. This was sweet to watch! 7-4 to eh.

A 2-1 win to start off the season is quite allright. Mojave performed better and better in his first match, which was nice to see. Rustray also was very consistent after his season off. We could have been more consistent on coast, but overall I think we did a pretty nice performence in our first match in 3 months!
