SL3 round 1: eh vs KTM

I didn't have time to write this last week, but I'll try to remember something now.

On bay Bergie made his debut as a TMS driver for eh togethter with Nanteq and Rustray. KTM had tueu, Ri1/4døsan and schum. This was a fun map to watch (from a satellite perspective). All players often fought side by side, and it was especially exciting to see who emerged unharmed out of the first tunnel. The teams very close on most laps, and they followed each other to 5-5. Then Nanteq made a mistake after many good rounds and KTM was one point away from victory. The next round was very exciting, but on the last platform eh looked to take the point. Then Bergie was unlucky and missed the finish in a peculiar way. He claimed he got a pad bug (it was either that or he must have hit an invisible stone, cause it looked weird ^^), but the result was in any case that KTM won 7-5. Still I was impressed with Bergie's performence on his first day of hunting

On coast Tiggr played his first match for eh since LE3, with me and Nanteq. We realized during the warm-ups that KTM were strong on this map. Knowing that we were strong on Island we decided to get at least 2 points, preferably 3, so that we could get a 2-2 score out of this match. I won the first two rounds (sorry about having to restart the game before this btw), but KTM still took the points. The KTM drivers (tueu, schum and SpeedraceR) were quite equal and the played very well. eh managed to grab two points. We would have gotten two more points if I hadn't crashed two times at the end when I just had to secure my position (* spanking myself a little).

Patoune and Fragile joined KTM on Island while eh continued with the same squad. On this map eh was clearly faster and mostly had control thanks to the consistency Tiggr showed. Nanteq had one of his crashing days and I came back on the last half of the 2nd lap to save a couple of points. At 4-0 we nearly messed up. NAV decided to update the definitions on my computer and I lagged like h***. When this finally stopped we were 10 seconds into the last lap, I was last, I saw Nanteq crashing and KTM had 1-3-4. In the last uphill turn I passed two KTM players and Tiggr managed to grab the 1st place just before the finish (puh). eh managed the goal of winning the map 7-0 to get the score 14-14 and a 2-2 draw.

Thanks for a great match KTM! You are very strong, especially on coast. You might lose some Island maps later in the season also I think, but you will for sure finish very high on the D2 rankings. GL later in the season!
