We won snow 7-2 with great consistent driving by Wity, good driving for me, especially early on before Dennis was great towards the end.
We lost rally 7-4, but it was really close. The driving on this map was awesome by all players; One of maps with the best performence I've ever played.
We won desert 7-2, With Dennis on fire, me consistent top 3 and Philstar just behind. We had full control here.
A full report is coming later. We beat the LE6 champions. GG!
edit:
LE7 round 1 (delayed 2 weeks): eh vs SFO
This was a match between the two top teams from last season. Going into the match me and my team mates knew we would have to perform at our very best. Since SFO won the last encounter 3-0, the elk hunters were obviously out for revenge.
We started on snow (Flop2!!). eh had Dennis, Wity and me in the line-up, while SQ1, Oni and Choy drove for SFO. I won the first round. Dennis followed me for a long time, but he crashed on a jump. SFO took 2-3-5 and took the point. I also won the next three rounds, with Wity and Dennis changing on being on the podium to give eh a 3-1 lead. eh had, as it turned out, quite a good control on this map. We seemed both faster and better prepared. The only thing standing between us and a clean sweep were a couple of difficult jumps. eh took the map 7-2, after Dennis shaped up and won some rounds towards the end when I started doing loops in the tube.
Next was rally (Quetzalcoatl), an environment that SFO is renowned to dominate. They had Ikar, Vp and Choy in the line-up while eh continued with the same three players. This map was a thriller from the first second. It was a tough fight with Dennis, Ikar and me fighting for the round wins. But there were also three other players on the track, and just a small touch in a wall would send all of them past us. I very often came off the wall at the same time as Ikar in the early rounds. The one that managed to stay away from the stones and get under the bridge without touching it or tipping over would win the round. This was usually also what decided the point. I normally managed the last part of the track a little better at this point in the map, but the score after six rounds was still 3-3. Then Ikar fired up his engines for real with consistent driving at low 1.05s. At the same time I did some stupid things, like crashing into an asphalt CP. SFO therefore got most points and won the map 7-4. Just about every round were won with 11-10 (hence the hard fight for 1st). I think Wity was slightly disturbed when this map was over. He was pretty much consistent 1.06 and still usually finished last. This means the time from number one to number six was only 1-2 seconds. I think this is one the maps with the highest general performence level I've ever played! GG to all players!
On the desert map (Cactus Powah) Wity gave his spot to Philstar and Vp gave his to YannCalvin. Again eh seemed more prepared and was clearly faster. Ikar gave a good fight all the way, but he seldom made it all the way to the top. In the first round they did well though, as they took a tripple. The fact that both Dennis and I crashed hard between the last CP and the finish (I got stuck on the rails ) helped them quite a bit. In the next rounds Dennis was on fire. Ikar and I changed on finishing second. After us we usually had Philstar in fourth. He was not happy with his driving today, but it was more than enough. At 4-1 Dennis was nice enough to change roles with me. Now it was my turn to win a few rounds while he fought with Ikar. At 6-1 both Dennis and Philstar made mistakes so that SFO got their second point. In the last round Ikar was leading all the way followed by Dennis, Philstar and me. I think maybe Dennis managed to sneak by him at the finish line, but I'm not sure. eh took the map 7-2.
eh won the match 2-1. I think the whole team performed very well in this match. Thanks for a good match SFO! Especially the rally battle was awesome. GL in your next matches!

sfo can complain about lags all the want but we beat them fair and square under the same curcumstances...also they had alot of players for this match and I have seen them training for this one from the beginning of LE7 so they should have been prepared
I just think that they struggled against a very good eh team on the night |

You are absolutely right Philstar. I think we had just as bad conditions. We were in England, Belgium and Norway on an Italian server. All the French players were closer to the host.
We offered them to change servers and I called guom to ask if he could host. Before the match I told Ikar that I wasn't sure we had a good server. Never once did they offer to host the match. Dennis also suggested that they could turn off visible opponents, and they didn't respond. I think the only lags were that the other cars flimmered a lot. If they can't drive with that, then their focus is in the wrong place... _________________ * Mרררררררררררררר!!!! * |
