LE6 Round 7: eh vs GTi

We started on the rally map. eh got off to a good start and took a 3-0 lead. Then GTi stopped making many mistakes, while eh started doing them. With a very consistent team play, GTi got point after point. I knew GTi had a good rally team before the match, so I was surprised that we could match their times. What we couldn't match was their great consistency once they got warmed up. GTi took point after point (some of them because of late eh crashes) and ended up winning the map 7-3.

Now it was the oldie map "Spidertrack" on desert. I never liked this track because of the 3 places where bad rebounds occur from time to time (I had one on each place during the match). The rounds on this map were decided by the mistakes. Most rounds were won in 59", and in the four first rounds four different players took the first place. t!m had a good map, and luckily he only had pad problems in one of the rounds, which was quite good considering the amount he had the day before. I also had wheel problems in a couple of rounds, but I bit my tongue to get the focus elsewhere Razz After a close start, eh started getting the points and won the map 7-3.

On the snow lap map it started well for my team, as I finished first in a moderate time, and this was what gave eh the point. In the next round Sky has the lead at the last CP, but I get good speed after the landing of the tilted jump, and I catch him at the line to win with 0.01 seconds. But there are three GTi's after me, so they get the point to make it 1-1. Next I take 1st, OMfrancky 2nd and Gandos 3rd. Point for eh you say? No... Wity decides to go into stunt mode and never reaches the finish. So it's a draw. Next eh takes the lead 2-1 and Gandos asks for a break because he has lags (something he had during the warmups which forced t!m the spectator to leave). He restarted his game and we were ready to go again. Two more rounds with close battles with OMfrancky, Sky, Gandos and me ends with one point to each team (wins by OMfrancky and Gandos). In the next round it happens again: I'm behind OMfrancky at the end of the last lap, I make a good jump, enters the last tube beside him and beats him by 0.01 on the line. And this time it decides the point. eh wins this map 5-2 with a 1-2-4 by me, Gandos and Wity in the last round.

eh wins the match 2-1 (3-7, 7-3, 5-2). I have to give most of the credit to my team mates for this one, because I played my worst match in LE6. I was on average 1 second above my times from the eh qualik and I'm disappointed in my own performence. So GG t!m, Wity and Gandos! You were awesome! Congrats to GTi for a close and good match. It was for sure the most exciting one for us since DnD in round 1.
