SL1 Round 3: eh vs KO'

KO with PANsen, Bowser, Cloud and TheBull. eh with Nanteq, AAssie, Kiff and Guom on Coast.

For the first time I was really happy about my slow computer and the fact that I have to start TMS a couple of times and drive a little for things to run smoothly. I was hoping this would give me enough time to wake up. I took a nap this afternoon, didn't hear the alarm and overslept so I woke up 20.30. Despite my Sunrise's efforts to delay the match, I was still not fully awake untill the last map...

With uncoordinated car manouvering, we started on Island. KO got off to a great start and a 3-0 lead by driving safely. Meanwhile Nanteq and especially I made all the wrong mistakes at the wrong places. Then Kiff and Nanteq understood the serious situation with a 1-2, while I was still inn destruction mode. Next KO took another point. Now it was KO's turn to make mistakes, and eh took point after point on bad times. The KO mistakes were often made after the last tunnel. eh advanced to a 6-5 lead. Then Nanteq said something stupid (sorry Nanteq, but it's so much fun to blame you Razz). Nanteq and I crashed (even when we had a good lead) and KO nailed the map 7-6.

Next bay: What can I say? PANsen and co were simply better and more consistent. Nanteq and I never managed to drive anywhere near our training times. Personally I seem to need about 15 minutes to warm up on this track... 5-0 to KO.

Last we played coast. We were quite sure we had little chance here, but it turned out to be another thriller. With two not-so-good teams crashing together, we took every other point. Again the match went to 6-6 and again eh made mistakes while KO was at their normal level this match and took the map 7-6 and the match 3-0.

We have lost 3 maps by a point in three matches this season, so lady luck has not been on our side Surprised

GG to KO, which nailed the two most important runs of the match! Have fun in your other matches!
We really miss Gandos, and I hope he'll be able to rejoin the squad allready in Round 5 Razz On the other hand, KO lacked a couple of players too...

We'll need some luck next week to make a good match. With both Gandos and Nanteq out I hope we can still give our opponents a good fight!

Cya soon, AAssie

We're definitely going through some tough times these days. Players and missing or too busy with other stuff to get enough practice. And lots of people (including myself) tend to have "a bad day" very often nowadays. Although I think we're handling it quite well. If the team had been in the same shape as it was at the end of last season we would have won these three last games easily I think. But we're hanging in there anway aren't we and that's great.

For my part I will have a little more time for practice before the next match than usual. But we'll need luck, that's for sure Smile

Yes, with a full squad and a little luck we could have won 3 matches... I think we played well against SFO though and we had a full team there.

I'm not sure how much time I will have for practice this week, but it will certainly be less than usual.

Except me, which was a disaster on that game. Wink If I had only played "bad" we would have won
