SL0 Match 4: eh vs FDV
So we finally played the match, after FDV used their wild card at the last minute.
We started on coast. FDV played with Slobad, Link and Yo-men, who played all maps. We started with guom, Gandos and me. We got off to a good start in the first round, with the three eh players fighting for the lead. I was in front untill the last turn, where I slid off the track . Gandos won in front of guom, while I crawled in to 5th place. The next two rounds went exactly the same way, except that I managed to stay on the track all the way to finish in front of Gandos and guom. In the 4th round both Gandos and I made mistakes. I was never able to catch any of the FDV players, but Gandos managed a 3rd place in the end. With guom in 1st we secured the point. guom was very consistent throughout this map, and he was never beaten by any of the FDV players. We made a 1-2-3 in the next two rounds. In the last round Gandos and I made mistakes again, but Gandos still managed to get the 2nd spot behind guom. First map: 7-0
Next was bay. guom left and Kiff entered. Gandos and I was fighting for the lead in the first two rounds, and both of us won one. Kiff made some huge mistakes and shouted something that should not be repeated here . In the next round I got some huge lags or bugs. In any case the car went straight when I tried to turn after the first CP, and I splashed into the water. Luckily Gandos and Kiff finished in front of the FDV players. After a small break to make sure things were working normally, we continued. For the rest of the rounds on the map I surprised myself with consistent good driving, and winning all. Gandos and Kiff usually followed pretty close to me. Only in the 6th round were FDV close to getting a point, when Gandos and Kiff made mistakes. Two of the FDV players did good runs to finish 2nd and 3rd. It was still not enough for them to get the point, and we wrapped it up in the next round to finish the map 7-0.
Rustray took my spot on the team on the Island map, which was played in lap mode. Apparently this map was even more one-sided than the other maps, with FDV having problems finishing withing the 15 seconds time limit. The race was an internal fight between Gandos and Kiff, who won 3 and 2 races. Rustray usually came second, as one of the other two made mistakes when they didn't win.
The elk hunters won 3-0 (19-0).
Thanks for a fair and fun match FDV. GL in your next matches!
