eh vs ||CoD||
Finally CoD and eh met each other in an official match. It's about time (
We started on speed. Unfortunately Echo had big lag problems with the server. Of course it hit me, with my TCP connection, the most. I had about a dozen crashes because of the lags. I won't write much about this map, as it will probably turn into a complaining tune It was a tight battle, with some good times, but in the end CoD was better with 3 vs 2.5 players and won the map 7-3. Without the lags I think this map would have been very tight with excellent driving!
@Lee hosted the next map, and this was much better. eh played with Gandos, Kiff and myself, while CoD played with Punar, Ozzy and Earl. It started well for the elk hunters, which soon got a 3-0 lead. But then CoD got their act together, while we started making more mistakes (f. ex: I missed the first jump twice, and Gandos made similar mistakes). Soon our lead was down to a single point on 4-3. Punar and Ozzy had some great rounds at this stage of the map. But then we got our act together again. All the eh players won rounds, and Kiff played one of his best maps ever. The final score on this map: 7-4.
With the score tied, the tension was high when we entered rally, which was hosted by Kiff. Punar, @Lee and NBAA played for CoD, eh played with the same team as on Snow. Things started well for us, and we quickly got a 3-0 lead, with Gandos and Kiff doing well. I made a few mistakes and so did a couple of the CoD players. And this was symptomatic for the rest of the map; two eh players and one CoD player did well. CoD got the next point to make it 3-1. From this point on I started stabilizing my driving, and won some rounds by doing the last sharp turn better than either Punar or NBAA. During the last couple of rounds Gandos came back to set the best times of the match. Let's not leave out Kiff either, who did one of his very best rally matches. In the end we won the map 7-1. The map wasn't a one way street for sure, but in almost every round one of the eh players won and another one got the third place, so I think the score was justified (the CoDs may disagree on this... lol).
eh won the match 2-1 (3-7, 7-4, 7-1).
Thanks for a fun match CoD. I hope we'll meet again next season. In D2, not D3
PS: What has happened to our Desert skills this season? This used to be our best environment, but so far this season we haven't won a single desert map...
