UL2 round 1: eh vs TX[/size:bab3fca544][/color:bab3fca544]
Snow (guom, Gandos, AAssie): Here we got off to a very good start. I won the first four rounds with guom and Gandos doing good rounds to secure the points. On round five I was leading untill 5 soconds before the finish. Then I got a bug entering the road from an offroad part and crashed into the fence. This caused a loss on 2-3 seconds and TX took the point. After this I lost my focus a little, but luckily guom and especially Gandos stepped up their performences so that eh kept getting the points. 7-1 to eh!
Coast (Mojave, Gandos, AAssie): Here we also got off to a good start, leading both 2-1 and 3-2. But then we got a bit more inconsistent (especially me), and we started giving the upper hand to the other team. All rounds were very closely fought, but in the end TX proved a little more consistent and won 7-4.
Island (Rustray, Gandos, Mojave): TX took the lead in almost every round, and was usually ahead at 20-25 seconds. But the hunters were on TX's wheel, to take advantage of every little mistake the TX drivers made. eh took the lead 3-1. TX then managed to close the gap to 4-3, and it was beginning to become a nail biter. Then Mojave stepped up his consistency, leading eh to one point after another. And just to set an example how good nerves we'll have this season, Mojave and Gandos finished 1-2 in the last round with their best times of the match and with Rustray just behind to secure points as he had been doing in all the rounds. This was sweet to watch! 7-4 to eh.
A 2-1 win to start off the season is quite allright. Mojave performed better and better in his first match, which was nice to see. Rustray also was very consistent after his season off. We could have been more consistent on coast, but overall I think we did a pretty nice performence in our first match in 3 months!

UL2 will start 18.09.2007, and the elk hunters will of course attend. We'll play in division 2 of 10 (based on our UL1 result). I think we have a good chance to finish high in the table, and we should have a good time getting there through some close matches.
We are always looking for fresh talent to improve our squad. If you are interested, don't hesitate to contact us ;).

sorry guys i sucked at desert. Its annoying when you perform well in your own time but make big mistakes in matches even if i did only start training yesterday, im usually fairly consistent. Anyway I think I will stay on for tmu but unfortunately I doubt ill get much more time than this. Maybe when i finally get my own place ill be training consistently again;)
btw nice report aassie, I knew it was gonna be tough as soon as I saw doubledor!!

The first Trackmania league with all 7 environments will start April 10th. At the moment we have 7 players ready for this 3vs3 league. We could use a couple of more players, especially since some of the players won't be available for every match. So if you are a Trackmaniac and are looking for a challenge in competitive driving, contact us and we'll set up a little "tryout" as fast as possible. ;)

LE8 round 3: eh vs TnT[/color:60a5277577][/size:60a5277577]
It's time to write this report, and I guess grobi has been waiting impatiently to hear how good he was. I hope I still can recall the important stuff from this match ;)
This match was played just a few days before Christmas, and my team were very short on players. Two days before it looked like it would be me, Philstar and guom. This would be guom's first TMO match since LE5. But I still thought we had a chance, with Philstar in top form and guom being as consistent as he is on coast. Then later that day Philstar reports that he is coming down with the flu and we are in serious trouble. Luckily I'm able to get in touch with Dennis and Dengel a few hours before the match. Dennis needs to reinstall the game and Dengel the same. Dengel isn't able to get it to work before about an hour before the match and Dennis didn't play since the end of LE7. I was not that trained either, because of the GC4 final the day before.
We started on rally with me, Dengel and Dennis against grobi, Bob68 and Maxou. It started well for me, and I had the lead close to the end when I made a mistake. Maxou won the round and TnT took the point. The next round was something similar, with a TnT in front and me in second place. Then I finally started winning some rounds, but TnT were just behind me. Dennis and Dengel did allright with little trainined, but they crashed a little much and were about a second slower than they needed to be. The TnT drivers shifted on being my biggest competition, and even grobi with his kb won a round. 7-0 to TnT.
After this Dennis decided he was so out of shape that he didn't see the point of driving anymore. I don't think he was that bad really, but he was one of three drivers at about the same level that night, so both Dengel and guom could drive the two other maps. We go ahead on desert and I'm driving really well, expect that in the three of the first four rounds I get landing bugs and loses 1-2 seconds. I'm really getting pissed over this, because I was below my pb on all those rounds. Then I finally escape the bug and I set a pb, with a CP time before the bug which was 0.5 seconds slower than in the earlier rounds. Meanwhile, grobi is on fire, driving consistent times at a high level. He is winning round after round, and he was the decisive factor on this map. Both guom and Dengel did quite well from what could be expected. It was up to me to get that first place, something I wasn't able to often enough. Therefore most points went to TnT and they took the map 7-2.
On snow we played a very technical map. The clue here was not to crash, something I did a little much early on. Maxou (I think) started well in the first round, and then grobi won a couple of rounds. But thanks to guom (who won a round when grobi crashed in the last corner) and Dengel both teams took point, and the match leveled at 3-3 when after I won a round. Now I started driving consistent and good times for some reason (and here I thought I hated the map ^^), and I won all but one of the last rounds. I made a 1.01.1x with a crash which annoyed me a little. But for some reason when I started driving well, my team mates drove worse, or maybe it was TnT who started to drive more consistently. They won point after point and finally the map 7-3 and the match 3-0.
This was not a good way to end the year for us, but I'm confident we'll be back to kick some ass now in 2007!
Also GG to TnT! They really drove very well, and should not be underestimated by anyone.

I guess it's time I translated my review to English :]
We started with the snow map Glory Box, where both Ikar and I had about the same personal records (51.5x). Unfortuneately for me it seemed as if I didn't have enough warm up laps, or maybe I was a little nervous. Ikar won the first round. In round two I miscalculated the exit of a tilted turn and got a bug. This did of course happen because I pushed very hard. But driving safely with a 0.03 loss would not matter when it's likely that your opponent will take advantage of that and keep the distance to the finish. This is 1vs1, and the only thing that matters is beating the other guy, a good second place doesn't mean anything ;).
In the next round I got a disasterous bug landing in the first tube, bounced into the air and landed upside down. After a respawn the exact same thing happened again. The spectators must have been laughing their asses off. Ikar didn't see me get any CP times, and stopped because he thought I fell out of the server or something. So suddenly I caught up with him. Then there was nothing else to do than restart the round. Just in case, the game made sure I got the landing bug for the third time in a row. I did manage to stay on my wheels, but I lost a couple of seconds. 3-0 to Ikar. The first jump on this track is kind of tragic, but both Ikar and I agreed that the other tracks weren't any better for competitive driving.
Now it was finally my turn to catch a point. In the next round I also got a good start, and I had a half second lead. I saw the possibility to get back into the match, but in the last turns before the finish the force feeback on my wheel fucked up and I had no chance to keep Ikar behind me. Now I really started getting my pace up, and I had the lead in two of the last three rounds. But I wasn't able to keep it. Both times I slid out side-ways from the last tube, most likely because my speed was higher than normal after very successful snow landings on the jump half way. 7-1 to Ikar.
This was the map I knew I had to win. I did have the speed, but I didn't have the consistency. Ikar did just about everything right. He was able to push me and make very good times when he needed to, and when he noticed I made an error he just made sure not to make any mistakes. So even if I was able to drive as fast as him, it would have taken a 110% performence from me to win the map. Ikar was very impressive on this map.
So now I had to win the desert map Reflexe to keep my winning hopes alive, and it started well when Ikar crashed in the very first turn in the first round. Round two was a close one, but I managed to stay in front and won with 0.20. In round three Ikar crashed again and I had a 3-0 lead. In the next round I managed to slide and lose all my speed because of a bug when you go from offroad to asphalt before a tunnel. Luckily for me, Ikar crashed in a turn not so far from the finish and I got the round handed to me after all. In the next round I almost crashed in the first turn, and lost ca. 0.20. But unlike what was the case for the snow map, I knew this map was so technical that I would have many chances to get back Ikar's lead, so I just focused on not making mistakes. And sure enough, Ikar got the bug I got in the round before and crashes before the tunnel, something he repeated a couple of rounds later. I trained a lot to avoid getting that bug, because it was nasty, and the training really paid off. Even the one time I did get the bug I was still able to stay on the track because I was aware it could happen and was careful. I won 7-0 after consistent driving (had several 42 rounds), so I'm both happy with the result and my performence.
This final would then be decided on the rally map Anarchy Fortress. I felt I kind of got the hang on this track during training, but not surprisingly it turned out that Ikar had a 0.8 better pb than me (48.5x I think). So I was completely aware that I would have to perform at my very best to get a point here. Then the very first thing Ikar does is to crash in the first corner, and he never manages to catch me. 1-0 to me. In the next round I'm leading the first half, then I brake a little much in a sharp turn and lose. Ikar seems a little bit nervous, and I know this is my shot. The next rounds are very close. I win one of them and lose two others in the last turn (didn't quite have the margins on my side :p). Now Ikar has the lead 3-2 and is getting the upper hand. He is getting warm and kaboom!, here comes a 48-round :o. From now on he never looks back. I'm partially able to keep up, but I'm dependent on driving a little above my capability. Hence, half my efforts end in crashes and the other times I finish around 0.50 behind him. I also lost a bit of my focus when his lead was getting larger. I had my chance at the start, but I didn't take advantage of it. Ikar is a better rally driver than me and deserved to win this map 7-2 and to become the GC4 champion.
As expected it turned out that I had to win snow and desert to win the final, but I only managed one of the tasks. I just have to congratulate Ikar! He was consistent on a very high level and kicked my butt on snow for the second time in this competition (the first time was in the group stages, but then he had already played ten matches and I was on my second). Then it doesn't help at all that a made a slightly better time than him during training. I'll just have to be happy that I smashed him around a little on desert, hehe :8

LE8 round 2: eh vs TP[/color:7cd85c17ad][/size:7cd85c17ad]
Playing all maps for eh: me and two others
Playing all maps for TP: three germans
We started on the speed map. Fireball was pretty fast here, and gave Philstar and me some great competition. The only thing was that Philstar and I knew about the cut and made it just about every time (Woooohooooo!!!!! Finally a cut that wasn't banned! I've been waiting for this moment since LE2 or something :D). Gandos usually finished ahead of SpOnGo and Insomnia, so the points kept rolling in for eh and it ended 7-1.
On snow things were a bit more one-sided, even though TP put up a good fight. But on this map I mostly won with some margin, and when my team mates followed up eh again won 7-1.
On rally I started well, and won the first two-three rounds. Then I lost all my focus and just swirled around. But then Philstar showed his kb power and started driving 55 rounds. With Gandos and Philstar there to take care of things, it didn't matter how much I hugged the trees. The points kept flowing in for eh and we won 7-0.
Thanks for a fun match TP. You should probably have gotten a few more points on snow and desert. We had to fight to get such a margin ;)

LE7 cactus powa by dridrione (speed)
LE6 vampires (rally)
LE7 not me by aassie (snow)
eh: AAssie, Philstar and Dennis.
On desert eh were just as good as in LE7, we really like that map. I drove my first 1.01 since LE7 on the last WU, and I continued driving 1.01 in all the rounds. Philstar and Dennis were also driving the same times, so when Diablo was the only TnT able to do the same, eh won 6-0 (guom swithed max points and point limit when he set up the server... lol).
On rally things were a lot closer, and the two teams changed on taking the points to 4-4 after some intense fights and crashes. After that TnT got the upper hand and won 7-4 (I think. There was a score bug, so we only know that TnT won the map...).
On snow things were very close, and the teams again changed on taking the points till 4-4. On this map however, eh were the most focused team (well, Philstar and Dennis were focused...) towards the end and eh won 6-4.
It was nice to get started on TMO after a long break. I'm really looking forward to LE8 when the teams meet again!

SL3 round 8: eh vs dac[/color:e5f2bbe7d0][/size:e5f2bbe7d0]
island: AAssie, Tiggr, Rustray for eh vs Rypel, Chris, Chimmy for dac
It started as it often does, with me crashing, jumping bad as a result and flipping over. dac of course took the lead. Then I won the four next rounds, and with the help from my team mates we took three of them. But dac was there to grab the points whenever we made some small (or huge) mistakes. Now Rypel complained about lags, so we took a break to let dac put up a server. They didn't succeed very well, so I called guom. He was willing to give up some of his precious TV-time to host the match for us. Thanks mate :). Somehow less lags for Rypel made the eh players better drivers. eh went from 3-2 to win the map 7-3. The third point for dac did of course come when I jumped into the second tunnel like an idiot and ended up surfing the tunnel wall. It has to be said that one of the dac players were pressuring me and that I probably got a little over excited :P.
coast: Rypel, Chris, Killervirus vs Gandos, Tiggr, AAssie
On this map Rypel early showed that he was the fastest on this map, and he won about half the rounds. eh on the other hand had a very good team play, which proved very useful. dac also suffered a bit from a not-very-well trained Chris, who was therefore a bit inconsistent, varying from quite good rounds to some bad ones). The score was quite close early on, but soon eh got the upper hand and took the lead 6-2. Then dac took the next three points, partly because of my three big crashes. But then when it mattered the most eh got their act together and won 7-5 with me setting a PB for the fourth time on this map.
bay: Gandos, Rustray, AAssie vs Redstorm, Rypel, Chris
This map really invited to crashes; an invite everybody accepted. It started well for me though, when I won the first five rounds. All the other players shifted on crashing. Sometimes Gandos or Rustray followed me, and other times the dac players run very good team rounds. After five rounds the score was 3-2. Now I went into somewhat of a dark period, probably because I had not eaten for many hours. I hit eigth lamps and five corners in the next five rounds, and in three of them I didn't even finish. But what happened when I started messing around? Well, Gandos and Rustray drove their best rounds of the match. So after my dark period the score was 5-5. To get myself back in shape I dropped my pants, since I was feeling a bit over heated. It worked like a charm and I won the next two rounds. The 6-5 round was pretty close for the point, with some intense battles being faught behind me. The last point went a bit easier and eh won 7-5.
eh won 3-0 after a very intense and well played match. This was by far our best match this season. It was very good to have Gandos back with his old consistency. And when Rustray and Tiggr followed up we had some nice team play. All honor to dac. They played very well, and I would say that even though we have lost two matches and drawed one this season, they are the strongest team we have faced this season.
Thanks for a good and fun match dac and GL in your last match!

Razor was more trained than NBAA and I, and that showed. He was clearly our best player. We were not able to give IG any real competition on the first map, even though we were only 1-2 seconds behind all the time. On the second map we were a bit closer, and NBAA had some good runs, but it still wasn't enough. On the third map, which was a bit more technical we recovered from 2-6 to win 7-6. It was amazing to see that we were able to play well as a team. Only Razor was able to make top times, but NBAA and I never made any big mistakes, something the IG drivers did. I guess our league experience helped a bit! GG for a great first match guys! I had a lot of fun!

SL3 round 7: eh vs PoD[/color:7450812117][/size:7450812117]
We started on coast. I took the lead through the first tunnel, hit something and crashed into the obstacle in the middle of the road. PoD didn't have to be asked twice, and grabbed the round. I won the next round and eh evened out the score. In round three I won again, but this time PoD did a nice 2-3-5 and reclaimed the lead. After this my team mates seemed to notice that I was winning the rounds, and started driving a lot more consistently. We often had 1-2 and 1-2-3. and eh won the map 7-2.
I kept my winning streak going on bay, and won all the rounds. Rustray and Gameurs had many close and good fights for the 2nd place. Execut3r did his job very consistently and secured the points for eh when it was needed. 7-0 to eh.
On Island eh was in complete control. I pushed in front and Tiggr (with a pb in the match) while Rustray were never lower than 4th. Banzzai did a very nice twisted flip at the end of one of the rounds. I think that was a nice and constructive way of using the finish bar :). On another round two PoD players hit the finish and ended up upside down in their internal fight for the 5th place. Nice show guys! On the very last round I started messing around, and Tiggr won it. The first one I didn't win since round one on coast. 7-0 to eh.
It was nice to play against an organized team. Everything went smoothly and the match took exactly one hour. GL in your final match PoD! I know you can win it! ;)

This was the comeback of Gandos after 7 months away from TM, and he did great, especially on coast where he was consistency itself. Something that was good for me, because I crashed all the time.
I won't bother writing much about this match, for that oXo were not serious enough. At least two of them were drunk or drinking, and they had problems reducing the number of player on each map from four to three.
eh won 7-0, 7-2, 7-0. For the most part it was a match between three eh drivers and K2000, who was the only oXo player who seemed prepared. He did very well and won several rounds, but against the three opponents he counldn't help his team much.
Thanks for the match and cya! :)

SL3 round 4: eh vs Aliens[/color:51c5e9af08][/size:51c5e9af08]
First of all, it's really annoying when the opponent is not on IRC. One of these days I might skip searching for them and wait for the forfeit points. This does not only apply to Aliens, but also some other teams. Start following the rules and make it easier for your opponents with showing up on IRC between 20:00 and 20:30!
We finally found Aliens training on the traxico server, and we were able to start the match. First I have to say, given my initial complaint, that Aliens are a very fair playing team.
We started on coast. eh with Nanteq, Tiggr and me and Aliens with Coba and Mihail who played all maps (sorry, but I don't remember what your 3rd driver was called... but I think it was long and red). Aliens took the first point. eh answered quickly to take the lead 2-1 before Aliens equalized to 2-2. In the next round I was on my way to a good improvement of my personal best, so I took the chance of taking the last turn at full speed only to get the finish side pillar in my face. Coba took advantage of this, but was followed by Tiggr and Nanteq. I managed to crawl over the line in fourth and eh took the lead 3-2. In the middle of the next round Tiggr got a bluescreen and the server crashed. After a few minutes the server was up again and we could continue. It was very often a fierce battle between Mihail and me, with Coba and Tiggr fighting just behind us when one of us made the smallest mistake. I don't think any of us liked the pesky bulk on this map. Even though it was possible to make a clean pass when braking at the right place, it was way to random. Braking 0.1 second early or late would cost 1 second of damage. The bulk could work at lower entrance speed, but not like this... The bulk probably shifted the point from one team to another at least 5 times.
The teams continued to shift on taking the points all the way. eh made 6-6 after a 1-3-6 round. In the next round I made a small mistake, which allowed Mihail to win the round followed be me and Tiggr. Unfortunatly we see Nanteq losing the battle for 5th place and Aliens won the map 7-6.
On bay Rustay stepped in for Tiggr. Also on this map the two teams had some very good fights. Coba and I started best for our teams. Coba even set a pb. After two rounds of crashing Mihail found his rythm and started driving very well. Rustray was maybe not the fastest, but he was very consistent. The teams followed each other to 4-4. The best round was probably the one where Nanteq, Mihail and I finished within 0.2x of eachother. Unfortunately this was the only shining moment for Nanteq this night. Sadly he played his worst match ever, especially in the last points of this map. Maybe he got lost in the butter (see his comment about the map :p) At 4-4 I won and Rustray finished third, but Nanteq wasn't able to finish and we got a draw. Aliens took advantage of this and got three good team rounds in a row, which gave them a 7-4 victory.
At this point the server crashed again, with another blue screen for Tiggr. Hence, we asked guom to put up a server for us. Nanteq was so disappointed in his driving that he wanted Tiggr to drive island for him. Unfortunately Tiggr's computer crashed once again, and this time I think he gave up ^^, so Nanteq had to drive.
With a new server one would think that the problems were over, but no. It seemed ok though, and the teams changed on winning the rounds. We also had a draw when Nanteq didn't finish (we've all had matches where nothing goes right for us, so come back stronger next time mate ;) ). At 3-3 we realized that something was seriously wrong with the score. Back tracking which team got the points in the different rounds, it turned out to be more serious than the "scores being showed are wrong" bug. Luckily it was still realatively early in the match, and I was able to remember what happened in all the rounds and we agreed that the score was 3-3. We decided to move to a server hosted by Aliens. Unfortunately the wrong scores continued when we in the first round on the server had another draw, but eh got awarded the point. In the next round I won followed by three Aliens, but eh got the point. So we realized that the server did not use alternate rules. This could be a mistake by the hosters, but for two experienced hosters to make such a mistake at the same time sounds weird, so I wonder if it was a bug. At this point Nanteq suddenly disappeared. I was considering bringing in an untrained guom to replace him, but knowing that it was 1 am in Russia, I said we'd play 2vs3. Aliens then offered to play 2vs2 (me and Rustray vs Coba and Mihail). This was remarquably fair of Aliens, because playing 2vs2 was more to eh's advantage than to Alien's advantage.
We continued to play. With only four players it was easy to keep the score manually when the server showed it wrong. I seemed to be the fastest on the map, with Mihail and Coba (who set a pb) close on my tail. Rustray was a little slower, but made up for it by being very consistent. Every round was had some fierce battles, and because of the cost of small mistakes on this map, one could never be certain to win even with a 7-8 second lead. Both teams took points, and we had two more draws. Aliens took the lead 6-5 with a very nice 1-2 victory. Then Rustray and I got our act together, driving two good rounds, while Coba and Mihail crashed. eh therefore won the map 7-6. This 2 minute map took a very long time with the wrong scores, server switch, disappearing players and 17 rounds with draws.
We finished 23:15 CET Aliens won 2-1. Except for all the problems, this a great match, where both teams showed high quality racing and fought really hard for each point. All players remained nice and fair, even with all the delays. Hence I would like to thank all the players for this great match, which to was one of the most fun I've played.

SL3 round 3: eh vs NoL - the big Scandinavian clash![/color:8ee92cd9c3][/size:8ee92cd9c3]
Team lineups:
Island - eh: AAssie, Tiggr, Nanteq
Bay - eh: AAssie, Tiggr, Rustray
Coast - eh: Tiggr, Rustray, Execut3r
All maps - NoL: NBAA, SteelB, Oddy
On Island both teams were quite equal. NBAA and I were the fastest, Tiggr and SteelB were almost as fast, while Nanteq and Oddy often fought over the 5th spot. NoL took the lead, but then eh came back to take a 5-3 lead. Then NoL really started driving well and took 4 points in a row, partially because I crashed two or three times close to the end on stupid mistakes. Very impressive victory to NoL 7-5!
On bay NoL requested to drive without the cut (sad for those of us who like fun cuts :P). eh had clearly the better team on this map and won easlily 7-1. NBAA was impressive and didn't make one mistake. I messed up three times I think, one of them cause us a clean sweep. On the other rounds I had a good fight with NBAA, but beat him on all. I set a cut-free pb in the last round with 53.83.
On coast Oddy had to step in untrained. In the first rounds he was clearly behind, but while the rounds went by he came closer and closer and managed to grab a couple of 5th spots. SteelB was in a league on his own on this map, and won all rounds. Tiggr almost followed him and was usually 2nd. NBAA, Rustray and Execut3r fought for the 3rd place, and this is where the match was decided. Rustray seemed to have a higher pace than NBAA, but he crashed more, so NBAA ended up beating him most of the time to give NoL many points. I think NBAA's decision to drive without visible opponents paid off, something Rustray and Execut3r didn't. From the spectator point of view, it seems to be clear that the eh players often crashed because of NBAA blocking the view ^^. NoL took a 6-2 lead. On the next round eh had 2-3-5 for two laps. Then Rustray was unlucky and slid just after the start on the last lap, allowing NBAA to catch up. This gave NoL the win 7-2 and the match 2-1 instead of 2-2. 15-14.
It was a fun match tonight. NoL deserved the victory. They won two maps, and they were also more prepared than us on island (shame on me and Nanteq for not training more; sorry Tiggr) GG!
If we like the maps more next week we'll be very hungry for revenge and our opponent will feel our wrath! ^^

SL3 round 1: eh vs KTM[/size:7b56e454af][/color:7b56e454af]
I didn't have time to write this last week, but I'll try to remember something now.
On bay Bergie made his debut as a TMS driver for eh togethter with Nanteq and Rustray. KTM had tueu, Ri1/4døsan and schum. This was a fun map to watch (from a satellite perspective). All players often fought side by side, and it was especially exciting to see who emerged unharmed out of the first tunnel. The teams very close on most laps, and they followed each other to 5-5. Then Nanteq made a mistake after many good rounds and KTM was one point away from victory. The next round was very exciting, but on the last platform eh looked to take the point. Then Bergie was unlucky and missed the finish in a peculiar way. He claimed he got a pad bug (it was either that or he must have hit an invisible stone, cause it looked weird ^^), but the result was in any case that KTM won 7-5. Still I was impressed with Bergie's performence on his first day of hunting :)
On coast Tiggr played his first match for eh since LE3, with me and Nanteq. We realized during the warm-ups that KTM were strong on this map. Knowing that we were strong on Island we decided to get at least 2 points, preferably 3, so that we could get a 2-2 score out of this match. I won the first two rounds (sorry about having to restart the game before this btw), but KTM still took the points. The KTM drivers (tueu, schum and SpeedraceR) were quite equal and the played very well. eh managed to grab two points. We would have gotten two more points if I hadn't crashed two times at the end when I just had to secure my position (* spanking myself a little).
Patoune and Fragile joined KTM on Island while eh continued with the same squad. On this map eh was clearly faster and mostly had control thanks to the consistency Tiggr showed. Nanteq had one of his crashing days and I came back on the last half of the 2nd lap to save a couple of points. At 4-0 we nearly messed up. NAV decided to update the definitions on my computer and I lagged like h***. When this finally stopped we were 10 seconds into the last lap, I was last, I saw Nanteq crashing and KTM had 1-3-4. In the last uphill turn I passed two KTM players and Tiggr managed to grab the 1st place just before the finish (puh). eh managed the goal of winning the map 7-0 to get the score 14-14 and a 2-2 draw.
Thanks for a great match KTM! You are very strong, especially on coast. You might lose some Island maps later in the season also I think, but you will for sure finish very high on the D2 rankings. GL later in the season!

SL3 round 2: eh vs C-K[/size:5ae95e683d][/color:5ae95e683d]
Last season the Cereal Killers won 3-1, so this time around the Elk Hunters were out for revenge. Unfortunately we did not get the great match we were hoping for. C-K asked to play the match at 21:00 two days before the match (thanks for asking early). Then on the match day only Maniaproof and Bat were present. We waited till 22:00 and then decided to play the Island map 3vs2.
Maniaproof had not expected to play this map I think, and was not able to keep up with Bat, Tiggr, Nanteq and myself. Still, mistakes on this map gave enourmous effects to the result (where did the respawn points go?). Times varied from three drivers finishing in 53.xx to only one player finishing below 1.00.xx. I guess this was partly because both teams knew that eh would win, which allowed all players to go for good times. Nanteq and I had some very good fights with Bat; often answering a good time by the other player by driving even faster in the next round. Result: 7-1 to eh.
For Coast Carl was sporty and stepped in to take the last C-K spot untrained (after downloading and installing extreme ^^). On this map Tiggr, guom and I had complete control, even if Tiggr and I were very disappointed in our own performences (I didn't even make a 59 :( ). I guess C-K had planned for other players to drive this map. 7-0
On bay we finally got a good match with some tension. eh took the first point after C-K mistakes and the fact that Carl didn't finish (can't blame him since he didn't know this 2-minute map before the match :P). Then Bat got into a great mood, and drove two good rounds. Maniaproof didn't make mistakes either and C-K took the lead 2-1. I was on a crashing streak and worked very hard with myself not to get frustrated. In the next time Maniaproof crashed to give Rustray the 2nd place and the round ended in a draw. Now I finally managed not to push to hard at the same time as Bat started making mistakes (it's weird how the one afftects the other ^^). Two rounds later eh was leading 3-2 and Maniaproof asked if I never made mistakes (already forgetting that I before this had four fatal rounds). Next round I screwed up on the last lap with a great lead (note to self: stay focused you moron), but Tiggr and Rustray to take 2nd and 3rd place. At 5-2 Carl decided to leave (he had already pushed his bed time at this late hour). This caused some confusion and crashes, ending in a point for C-K with Bat winning before me in 2.05 or something with noone else finishing. eh won 7-3 after a very good fight between me and Bat on the last round.
It took some time, but at least we had fun when we first started. I hope we'll be able to get some real revenge for SL2 next time around!
GL in your next matches!

We held a successful tryout on Monday, where most of the good, old elk hunters played together with a couple of new arrivals and two players trying out for the team. After the tryout we all agreed to welcome Bergie to join the team. I'll also use this opportunity to welcome Tiggr and CoMAN to the squad. With these new arrivals I think we can look forward to a fun time on TMS with SL3, which will begin next week on 20.09.06.

SL3 is approaching rapidly (will probably start 20.09). After some requests we have decided to hold a tryout for possible new players. Sign up in our forum and meet up on IRC in #elkhunters on quakenet Monday 11.09. at 21:00 CET (we won't kill you if you show up on IRC without having signed up in the forum ;)). Everyone who would like to drive for us in SL3 are welcome! Keep in mind that we will look at how you drive (your line, your consistency, how you solve technical sections etc.) just as much at your fastest time.
You'll find the maps we'll use for the qualik here: http://folk.uio.no/aasmunn/test/eh-tryout.zip

LE7 is now finished, after SFO and Don finally were able to play their postponed match, more than six weeks after we played our last match. But this is what happens when the summer holidays arrive. This match also gave SFO the LE7 victory, so congratulations to them.
We in Elk Hunters had our ups and downs this season. We started with a blast, taking the charge of division 1 and beating SFO 2-1 in a match where all our players played very well. The week after we met a very motivated Don, and they beat us 2-1. This was a bit annoying, since SFO now was back in the lead, which they managed to hold on to for the rest of the season. I would like to thank Philstar, Dennis, Execut3r, Wity, Nanteq and Emil_Svensson for their contributions to this good result.
Elk Hunters and SFO also met in a great match in the SL2 cup quarter final. This was one of the best matches I've played. Both Island and Coast were close maps. eh won Island and SFO won Coast. On the golden map SFO were simply too strong and beat us comfortably. Still, we gave a real challenge to the undefeated SL2 champions.

LE7 round 6: eh vs TP[/color:3d61fa3244][/size:3d61fa3244]
Sniton, NikolauS and Wulf played all maps for TP and Philstar, Dennis and I played all for eh.
We started on Desert. TP was quite unprepared and eh had a rather easy task. Sniton manged to grab some 2nd places, but TP didn't really come close to a point. I had a good day and did all the rounds without any real mistakes. Philstar did rather well too. A relatively untrained Dennis had some good rounds and some less good. Wulf, who came in as a reserve at the last minute did quite ok I think, for not having seen the maps at all before. eh won 7-0.
On snow we had the same situation. All eh had to do was not to crash. Philstar was in great shape. I struggled a bit the first rounds with the last tube when I forgot to brake enough (surprise, right? :P), but Dennis was always there to save me. In the last rounds things got a bit better for me. NikolauS and Sniton tried their best, but with an average of 2-3 seconds behind the winner they never had any real chance. eh won again 7-0.
On rally eh was in complete control. I was quite happy about setting a pb during the rounds. Philstar showed his improving rally skills, while Dennis danced all over the place. eh won 7-0.
Too bad we couldn't meet TP at their best, but sometimes these things happen. We'll meet again next year in full combat mode I hope!
This concludes the season for the elk hunters, as the LE7 LM team is a ghost. Have a good summer all!

LE7 round 5: eh vs TnT[/size:da4087bbcc][/color:da4087bbcc]
It's really getting close to summer, because lots of players seems to be more interested in doing other things than TM. I guess the football WC doesn't help either ^^. Since both teams only had 2 trained players and TnT only had 2 players available when we started, we decided to do a 2vs2 match.
On desert Philstar and I played against Pagaisu and Maxou. Early on I made a lot of mistakes, while Philstar was winning many rounds. Pagaisu also won quite a few. Maxou and I were often fighting all the way to the line to give our team a point (I think we were 0.0x apart four times :P). After 12 rounds we had 4 eh points, 4 TnT points and 4 draws. I started getting into the match towards to end, and with Phil as consistent as he always is, eh took 3 out of the 4 last points (another draw) and won the map. Most rounds had 2 players on 1.04. I did 1.03.98, Pagaisu 1.04.0x and Philstar 1.04.0x. Maxou also did 1.04. So a very fun and close map. We didn't miss the third players at all.
On rally Bob68 joined Pagaisu and Wity joined me. Wity was not very prepared here, while the rest of us were. I had lots of slides on this map today, which usually gave at least one TnT the chance to pass by me. Pagaisu and Bob68 were very consistent and TnT took many points. I managed to win a couple to give eh draws. At 6-0 to TnT I finally had a good round. One of the TnT players made a mistake, so Wity grabbed the third place to give eh a comfort point. The map ended 7-1 to TnT.
On snow Philstar was back and so was Maxou for Pagaisu. Bob68 was not very prepared on this map and Philstar and I were normally faster than Maxou, so the points kept rolling in for eh. I set a pb with 56.76 on 6-0. In the next round I crashed early on, and with no boosters to give me back my speed, TnT grabbed the chance to get a point when Maxou did a good job to win the round. eh closed the deal with 7-1 after that.
I had fun today, especially on speed where all players were at the same level and fighting hard. GG TnT!!!

LE7 round 4: eh vs Don[/size:68a424f07e][/color:68a424f07e]
We started on desert. Here Emil_Svensson played his first match on TMO since LE2. Nice to have you back in the league!. Both Dennis and I were probably faster than the Don players, but we kept behaving like drunken sailors in a bar (or Scandinavians in the Canaries :P). We had some nice arguments with some pillars and some walls, before the grid caught us and we were thrown out of the track. Don did things nice and simple, with consistent, good driving. They seemed better prepared than us, and when we also had a bad day, they won the map at a good margin with 7-2.
On rally I'd say all drove badly, but eh had the three best players and won easily 7-0. Don almost got a couple of points, but eh came back from crashes in the last two turns.
On snow Don were consistent and fast. I kinda think this map was too easy, because the landing bugs towards the end was always enough to send several players by me. Again Don seemed better prapared and were more consistent. The eh players did again crash a lot, while Don often had three players arriving at 56. Don also won this map 7-2.
I'm sorry for making this a short report, but all maps were pretty one-sided, so there's not much to tell. Also I'm very disappointed in my own performence. I think I used up all my energy in the qualik we had just before the match ^^. It turned out that eh were not fully trained for this match. I guess four tough matches in a week was one match too much. I'm sorry that we weren't able to give our best today, because Don would have deserved that. But Don probably would have won anyway, because they did really good. GL in your next matches! You can end up really high on the table this season ;)

We won snow 7-2 with great consistent driving by Wity, good driving for me, especially early on before Dennis was great towards the end.
We lost rally 7-4, but it was really close. The driving on this map was awesome by all players; One of maps with the best performence I've ever played.
We won desert 7-2, With Dennis on fire, me consistent top 3 and Philstar just behind. We had full control here.
A full report is coming later. We beat the LE6 champions. GG!

LE7 round 1 (delayed 2 weeks): eh vs SFO[/color:ac4ae1d626][/size:ac4ae1d626]
This was a match between the two top teams from last season. Going into the match me and my team mates knew we would have to perform at our very best. Since SFO won the last encounter 3-0, the elk hunters were obviously out for revenge.
We started on snow (Flop2!!). eh had Dennis, Wity and me in the line-up, while SQ1, Oni and Choy drove for SFO. I won the first round. Dennis followed me for a long time, but he crashed on a jump. SFO took 2-3-5 and took the point. I also won the next three rounds, with Wity and Dennis changing on being on the podium to give eh a 3-1 lead. eh had, as it turned out, quite a good control on this map. We seemed both faster and better prepared. The only thing standing between us and a clean sweep were a couple of difficult jumps. eh took the map 7-2, after Dennis shaped up and won some rounds towards the end when I started doing loops in the tube.
Next was rally (Quetzalcoatl), an environment that SFO is renowned to dominate. They had Ikar, Vp and Choy in the line-up while eh continued with the same three players. This map was a thriller from the first second. It was a tough fight with Dennis, Ikar and me fighting for the round wins. But there were also three other players on the track, and just a small touch in a wall would send all of them past us. I very often came off the wall at the same time as Ikar in the early rounds. The one that managed to stay away from the stones and get under the bridge without touching it or tipping over would win the round. This was usually also what decided the point. I normally managed the last part of the track a little better at this point in the map, but the score after six rounds was still 3-3. Then Ikar fired up his engines for real with consistent driving at low 1.05s. At the same time I did some stupid things, like crashing into an asphalt CP. SFO therefore got most points and won the map 7-4. Just about every round were won with 11-10 (hence the hard fight for 1st). I think Wity was slightly disturbed when this map was over. He was pretty much consistent 1.06 and still usually finished last. This means the time from number one to number six was only 1-2 seconds. I think this is one the maps with the highest general performence level I've ever played! GG to all players!
On the desert map (Cactus Powah) Wity gave his spot to Philstar and Vp gave his to YannCalvin. Again eh seemed more prepared and was clearly faster. Ikar gave a good fight all the way, but he seldom made it all the way to the top. In the first round they did well though, as they took a tripple. The fact that both Dennis and I crashed hard between the last CP and the finish (I got stuck on the rails :P) helped them quite a bit. In the next rounds Dennis was on fire. Ikar and I changed on finishing second. After us we usually had Philstar in fourth. He was not happy with his driving today, but it was more than enough. At 4-1 Dennis was nice enough to change roles with me. Now it was my turn to win a few rounds while he fought with Ikar. At 6-1 both Dennis and Philstar made mistakes so that SFO got their second point. In the last round Ikar was leading all the way followed by Dennis, Philstar and me. I think maybe Dennis managed to sneak by him at the finish line, but I'm not sure. eh took the map 7-2.
eh won the match 2-1. I think the whole team performed very well in this match. Thanks for a good match SFO! Especially the rally battle was awesome. GL in your next matches!

LE7 round 2: eh vs YS[/color:73dc8d8408][/size:73dc8d8408]
Long awaited, but here is the report from the match.
This was the first match for eh this season, and it showed in the performences. The players were clearly a bit nervous. I had been feeling unwell all day, and my mind had taken a trip to outer space. This resulted in very inconsistent driving, which of course didn't calm down the nerves of my team mates. We also faced a well prepared and strong YS team.
The space avdenture started on the ice planet "The little things". The inhabitants had set some nasty bugs on their map, which may have decided who won, because this would turn out to be a thriller. eh had Wity, Dennis (his debut for eh) and me on this map, while YS had Flo, Turof and Roadster ready to attck. I had my best performence of the evening on this map, and I won about half the rounds. But unfortunately I was really inconsistent. And unfocused as I was that evening, I didn't pay enough tension to the details. I managed to get the flying jump bug three times while I was in the lead, which cost my team at least two points. Other players also got the bug, but not in that position. YS was well drilled as a team, and was more consistent than eh. They all made many good rounds, but from what I can remember, Flo was the player that grew the most towards the end of the map. YS took the lead 6-3 after consistent driving and lots of eh mistakes. eh reduced to 6-5, but then YS took the win 7-5.
The space shuttle now brought us to a classic grass planet. YS sent out their space drivers B.U.N.N.Y, Roadster and Eder to the track, where they met Nanteq, Wity and me. This map was about who made less mistakes. The teams followed each other to 4-4. Nanteq and I seemed to be the fastest out there, but we also crashed a lot. And not more than one little slide was needed before a couple of YS bullets flew by us. Wity jumped over all three YS drivers at the last jump in one of the rounds. This didn't help much when Nanteq and I finished last, but I'd say it was the play of the day :). I managed to get myself a little together in the last rounds of the map, and with my team mates on board eh took the map 7-5.
Our adventure had one final exciting planet to visit. This planet was dry, but we still had lots of excitement waiting for us. For YS Roadster, B.U.N.N.Y and Turof was competing against the eh players Philstar, Dennis and me. On this map the teams seemed to be a bit more unbalanced than on the other maps, with eh clearly having the fastest drivers. But the same drivers were also incredibly inconsistent, with me being the definition of inconsistency. I often had the lead before the tunnels, but with my head on the boundries of this dimension I usually crashed in the tight turns. For Dennis it was the opposite. He often made an early mistake, like jumping too far and crashing into the wall early on the map, before coming from behind to pass all in the tunnels. A true tunnel master :P). Given that the teams had different speed and different consistency, most rounds were not that close. Either eh won clearly when they didn't crash, or YS won even clearer when eh bounced all over the map. The tension was still there between the rounds, because we never knew what was the likely outcome. In the end higher speed triumphed over consistency, and eh won 7-5.
With all rounds ending 7-5, this was truely a fantastic match. I think all players were thrilled after the match. Nanteq: "One of the most tense games I've played." Roadster: "it was always thrillin". Wity: "Nice close match. like it such matches:)". I wish my head had been down on earth so that I could have been as excited as you guys! ;) The match ended 2-1 to eh. Thanks YS for making this a night to remember!

LE7 round 3: eh vs hal-ko[/color:f2daae4cf5][/size:f2daae4cf5]
This week my head was back from space, and I was ready for a good fight against hal-ko, who we met in an exciting and close match for the 2nd place last season. We started on snow, where two important spots often decided the rounds. Early on there was a sharp difficult turn and in the middle of the map there was a jump where you had to land right or otherwise lose half a second. The elk hunters started with Dennis, me and Philstar. Philstar jumped in at the last second for Wity, who was not able to get online. hal-ko had No_odles, Pansen and Limp in the line-up. I won the first round, but Dennis crashed. So when two hal-ko players followed close to me hal-ko took the point. I also won the next time, and this time Dennis followed me. In the third round eh took the lead when Dennis set the best time of the match. Then it was crash time for me and Dennis in the sharp turn and hal-ko tied the map at 2-2. From this point on Dennis and I seemed to stress the hal-ko drivers into making mistakes. And when one of us also made a mistake, Philstar started showing some excellent skills. He started as a reserve, but ended up winning two rounds and securing many points for eh. So thanks to the great effort by Philstar eh won the map as clearly as 7-2. I think we would have won either way though, since Dennis and I seemed to be the fastest out there.
We moved on to the classic desert map "SlipFast" by tuko. Here t!m and Sascha joined No_odles while eh continued with the same team. This map turned out to be a thriller. hal-ko seemed to have a bit more balanced team on this map than eh, but I really found my form on this map to balance it out. I won the first round, but as on the start of the snow map, my team mates crashed and hal-ko took the lead 1-0. In a hard fight with t!m, I also won the next round, and this time Philstar and Dennis followed up to make it 1-1. I finished first also the next two rounds, but the score was tied at 2-2. In the next few rounds I crashed three times, but so did most other players. Philstar was starting to show more consistent driving, but two times hal-ko managed to grab a point after crashes by him or Dennis at the end of the track. hal-ko was now in the lead 5-4. Dennis was not in great shape, and seemed unfocused. So; being the sadistic bastard that I am, I gave him a good spanking :P. This seemed to awake the whole team, me included. So even though the fight for the lead in the next three rounds was a battle between me and t!m, which had been the case in most rounds, Philstar and Dennis was just behind us to give eh the points. eh won 7-5. Heads up to t!m who was always on my heels to pressure me :)
Wity was still not able to see any servers online, and was now about to feed his TM disc to his dog. For the second time in the match, Philstar had to jump in as a reserve. But on this map we couldn't expect much as he had never been below 1:00 on the map. hal-ko now saw a possibility to win 7-0 to tie the match 2-2. This was of course a wild dream, considering the buggy finish jump where dreams had to be shattered. Also, this was my best map of the round, so I told Dennis not to chase the 56s, but drive safely and let me take care of them. The plan worked like a charm: I won the first three rounds, with Dennis finishing between 2nd and 4th. Philstar also did his part to give eh the points. He showed how well he took the challenge of stepping in on the map in the next round when he finished 2nd. When Dennis finished 3rd we still took the point when I missed the finish. eh had the lead 4-0 before hal-ko realized what was going on. Then we started to doze off a little, and hal-ko saw their chance. With good and consistent driving they reduced the score to 4-2, then 5-3. But before they could make things too interesting, eh wrapped it up 7-3. Dennis was surprisingly consistent on this map, maybe because he managed to keep his eager to chase the records down. Philstar was amazing as a reserve. How anyone can come in unprepared and drive half the rounds below his previous personal record is beyond what I can comprehend.
It was a really fun match, and especially desert gave some high tension. hal-ko was maybe less prepared than eh, but the main difference was probably that I did one of my best TM matches, and my team mates followed up. I think hal-ko will play a lot of close matches against the other teams in this division. Thanks for the match!

It took me some time to get around to write this one. But finally; here it is!
The final: eh vs KO (played April 3rd)[/color:85748f3745][/size:85748f3745]
The teams finishing 4th and 5th in the regular season met in the final. Between the two teams, KO probably had the hardest way to the final. They had to play a golden map in the quarter final when they met Ppø. In the semi final YS gave them a good fight, with the score 7-4, 7-5. eh had an easier way. In the quarter final they beat SFO who lost a couple of key players just before the match. In the semi final TEP resisted well on their map, but eh had control.
eh played the whole final with Gandos, Nanteq and me. For KO Bowser, PANsen and Dephill played bay, Bowser, PANsen and Cloud played Island and on the coast map they had No_ODLES, Cloud and t!m. Nanteq and PANsen were a bit out of touch with the game in this match. Both complained about not finding the right feeling after too much time on TMN.
We started the match on eh’s map, the bay map “City of Trackers” by Kyo. It turned out to give us some really intense rounds. The first place was a fight between me and Bowser. Bowser was really fast, so I quickly realized I had to push. As long as I didn’t slide, I felt I was a little faster, but only about 0.2 seconds. Except for one or two rounds where both of us crashed, I think all rounds were won in 50’50 – 51’00. PANsen and Gandos often battled for the 3rd place. The close rounds affected the score, and the teams followed each other to 4-4. Some of the rounds were decided quite early, when PANsen or I crashed. I think I crashed a bit more often than him, but on the other hand I think I won most of the rounds where I didn’t crash. The two next rounds decided the map. Both times the score was tied after the 4th player crossed the line (eh-KO-KO-eh/KO-eh-eh-KO), so it was up to Nanteq and Dephill to decide which team got the point. Nanteq came first out of the last tunnel, with about a second in advantage on Dephill. All he had to do was to drive safely the rest of the way, but somehow he manages to hit the CP in the last turn so Dephill could catch up. In the next round exactly the same happens. Nanteq has the 5th spot in sight, but manages to crash in the last CP. Thus KO took a 6-4 lead. Next I crashed early on and KO could just secure the last point to win the map 7-4.
KO’s Island map was “Black Emerald” by Neocreed, which was one of the more technical ones. Here the same pattern appeared as on the first map, with Bowser and me fighting for the top position. But this time Gandos and Cloud also had some rounds where they wanted a part of the action. Nanteq and PANsen were less reliable. They had some good rounds, but they crashed a lot too. It started rather well for eh, who took a 4-1 lead thanks to good driving by me and Gandos during the first rounds, before Nanteq had a couple of good ones. Then eh started making more mistakes, while KO started driving more as a team. The next minutes were nerve-racking, as KO came closer and closer to tie the match at 6-6. Now KO had the opportunity to seal the victory of the final. This could have affected their driving. Personally I had lost control over the score at this point; I just knew that KO had won a lot lately. eh had a good performance in this last round, with three players in the top four. So eh took the map 7-6 to tie the match 1-1.
The whole cup was therefore to be decided on coast, on “Trinity Blood” by Doubledore. I think all eh players liked this map. As for the KO they did for some reason seem a bit unprepared. It started well for eh in the first round. After one lap I had the lead in front of Gandos, t!m and Nanteq. Then, halfway on the second lap I got too eager and crashed in one of the most costly places to crash on this track, in a zig-zag on a climb. This allowed the whole field to pass me. Nanteq also made a mistake later, so even though Gandos won the round, he had three KO players just behind him. After looking at the times of the first round I realized that the quality was rather low on this map, so I decided to drive carefully. This worked like a charm. The rest of the rounds was a fight with Gandos, t!m and me. Gandos and I were consistent, so t!m seemed a bit pressured to win and took some risks. This was no surprise; since he had to win to give KO a chance of grabbing points. My focus on minimal risk paid off, and I won three rounds and finished 2nd in the other two. Gandos and t!m took the other two rounds. eh won the map 5-1, won the match 2-1 and became the SL1 cup champions.
This was a match with high quality racing on the first two maps. I can’t remember playing many matches with so many players able to make world class times at the same time. So a huge GG to all the good players! When it comes to performance, the coast map wasn’t as well driven as the first two maps. The reason could very well be that both teams focused on the two regular maps so they could win without having to drive the golden map. This was certainly the case for me.
I wish to congratulate all the players and organizers for a great season and a fun cup!

SL2 finished this week. Elk hunters ended 4th in division 2 at a +0 map win/loss ratio. We are quite satisfied with the season, given all the new players and old players unavailable. I'd like to thank all the players that contributed (the most active ones first): Execut3r, skrekk, NBAA, Xp, guom, Rustray, Insomnia, Mental_Alloy, Gandos and Nanteq.

SL2 round 9: eh vs FTMT²[/size:ec7fb71d08][/color:ec7fb71d08]
This match had it all! Racing at a high level, close fights, spectacular crashes, great comebacks and tension so high that we were lucky no players had a heart attack. This was by far the most fun match of the season for us, and also the best one (for me personally and for the team). Among the 80+ TM team matches I've played, this one is definitively top 5 when it comes to excitement!
Probably for the last time in the SL/LE leagues we started the match on stadium. And we sure left this environment with honour. eh played with goum, NBAA and myself, FTMT² played with gehef, Spliff and evolm. It started with a close round, which I won in front of gehef and NBAA. In the next round I won again, but FTMT² managed 2-3-5 and took the point. Then it was FTMT² to take the lead, with three players finishing closely behind NBAA. I was on the ground spinning around on the grass. NBAA had some great rounds at this point of the match, in a time when I had some bad ones, so eh equalized to 2-2. FTMT² once again took the lead after gehef won. Now I finally stopped making stupid mistakes, and eh tied the match at 3-3. Yet again FTMT² moved ahead with 4-3. Now, for the last time on this environment one team took two points in a row. eh took the lead 5-4. From this point on the teams took every other point till 9-9. eh handled the pressure better and took the map 10-9 with a 1-2-4 on the last round. When I started training this map on Monday I had to play using kb because of a thumb blister due to too much pad use the day before. :p I learned the kb technique so quickly that I soon realized I should stick with it, because it made me much more consistent. I think this was the little extra that made us win a close stadium map for the first time this season (losses 10-9, 10-8, 10-8, 10-7). FTMT² was more consistent as a team, which gave them many points. But eh had the winner in more than 3/4 of the rounds.
We started the TMS part on bay. Here skrekk joined NBAA and me, while Broken and Vautour joined gehef. For me this map started much like the first one. I won the first two rounds, but the score was 1-1. eh took the lead 2-1 before I started messing around like an idiot. NBAA did a good job winning a couple of rounds, but with three FTMT² players with Broken in front trailing him the score was suddenly 4-2 to FTMT². So it was time for me to calm down and focus on safety. NBAA did the same, and with skrekk behind us to secure the points when Broken had a good round, eh took back the lead 5-4. FTMT² had one last attempt when NBAA crashed in the lead at the last jump, but after that eh had control and took the map 7-5.
On coast Execut3r and Insomnia joined me, while FTMT² stuck with the bay lineup. FTMT² got a really good start with strong team play. Broken was also this time the head FTMT². I crashed a lot (though I mostly ended top 3). FTMT² took a 4-0 lead. I also crashed in the next round and ended 3rd. But Insomnia was waking up in 2nd and Execut3r finished 5th, so we got our first point. Now I finally found my form. Too bad it happened first at this point. I won the rest of the rounds, and eh closed the score to 4-3. But then there was the FTMT² close team play. A couple of points were won by FTMT² after 2-3-5, and they won the map 7-3.
Last we played Island. Xp joined eh and MIKioR and hotot joined gehef for FTMT². Once again we had the FTMT² team performence against the eh inconsistent, but faster top players. NBAA and I were clearly faster than FTMT² out there, but Xp seemed to struggle under the pressure and was seldom near what he did on training. It started well for eh. NBAA won the first round in front of me. In the next round I crashed in the first turn and was last, but I worked my way through the field, and just before the finish I passed by NBAA to win. I won again in the 3rd round, but NBAA crashed, so I suddenly had three hungry FTMT² players behind me. 2-1. Next eh took the lead 3-1. But now it was my turn to crash, while FTMT² drove better and better. They tied the match to 3-3. Next it was my best round when I did a 2.06. NBAA and Xp finished 3rd and 4th and eh was again ahead. But then it was crashing time again for me. NBAA even managed to jump off the track at the end of lap 2, so it was an easy task for FTMT² to tie the map again at 4-4. So it all came down to the very last point. For eh it was about ending the season with a victory, for FTMT² the stakes were higher. With a draw they would win D2 on the internal score in the match with their strongest challengers GKC. If eh took the last point, FTMT² would "only" be 2nd in D2. I got a great start, and had record braking CP times. I quickly realized that NBAA had crashed in the first turn. So I decided to push hard to get a great time, in case NBAA would end 4th. My hope was that if I did really well, only four players would finish and we would get a tie. I was on my way to a 2.05, but in the last U-turn I was unlucky (or more precise unfocused) and slammed into the wall. At this point I had more than 5 seconds on gehef in 2nd. Luckily for me he crashed in the U-turn as well, allowing NBAA, who had impressingly manouvered himself from last in the field to 3rd, to get into 2nd place. At the finish line he was just 1 second behind me and eh won the map 5-4.
I think we were all thrilled after this close and exciting match which ended 3-1 to eh (10-9, 7-5, 3-7, 5-4) (25-25). The eh players (me and NBAA particularly) had mouth diarea for two hours talking about the match. I guess I should apologize to FTMT² for causing them the D2 victory on such a close margin, but since most close maps have turned against us this season it felt fair :p. Thanks for making this evening really special FTMT², and I'm looking forward to meeting you again in D1 next season, or maybe already in the playoffs :D.
I'm satisfied with my team's performence in SL2 after starting it with many new players and a half-serious attitude. We ended 4th on a +0 map win/loss ratio. We have a positive 150-134 rounds score over 8 matches, which indicates that we've resisted well on the maps we have lost.
Thanks all for a good and fun season!! Cya soon in TMNNC, LE7, GC4 or SL3.

SL2 round 8: eh vs G²[/size:67b8997e18][/color:67b8997e18]
On stadium eh played with NBAA, skrekk and Execut3r, while G² had Mazzyfred, Antøsh and rtucou. eh grabbed the first point, as skrekk set a pb in front of NBAA. NBAA was on fire on the first rounds on this map, and won the five next rounds. Unfortunately for eh, the other two players wasn't that consistent, having quite a few crashes. skrekk had a hateful relationship with the last left turn. Execut3r got pad problems in round 3, and being new to this and a gentleman he didn't want to stop the match, so he played the rest of the match with keyboard. So it's no wonder he struggled in the rest of the rounds. Antøsh and Rtucou started driving quite well once they got into game mode, with Mazzyfred as a good 3rd. So even though NBAA won lots of rounds, both teams were very close till 4-4. At thiss point NBAA lost some of his focus, while G² started driving well as a team and took a 6-4 lead. eh closed to 7-6, but the gays were on the offensive, and won 10-7.
On TMS we played bay first. I joined NBAA and skrekk, while Antøsh left his spot for speedounet on G². It started with mistakes by most players, including me. One player didn't finish and we got a tie. This happened three or four times, so we played more rounds than the score indicates. NBAA was consistency itself on this map, and won many rounds. I had a great inconsistency on this map. I had four good laps at high 55s/low 56s, but then I also had an incomplete and close to incompletes. G² took the first point when I hit a lamp and skrekk did something similar later on. But this round was an exception. Even though speedounet and rtucou had some good runs, they crashed just as much as the rest of us. Therefore, with NBAA as the star and my occasional rapid runs, eh got most points and took the map in relative control 7-2. I have to add that I think this is the best bay map I've played in SL :)
eh entered Island as huge favorites, with G² begging us for a mercy point. skrekk left for Xp, while rtucou gave his spot to Antøsh. NBAA and I were in our own class on this map, and almost all victories went to one of us. NBAA was the stability factor, I was risking more and beating him when I didn't slide. It's needless to say, that when Mazzyfred was clearly the third best player on the map, G² had no chance. Nevertheless, NBAA actually crashed one time when I also crashed, so G² got the one point they wanted. eh won 7-1.
skrekk came in for NBAA on coast and cyss23 entered the game for Antøsh. Coast lap maps at the end of a long evening just doesn't agree with me. My driving style is just too impatient for that. :p I took the lead and was in complete control for one and a half lap. Then I got too eager entering the tunnel, readjusted the tunnel wall and let the whole field pass me. 1-0 to G². I also fumbled the next two rounds, and G² got off to an easy 3-0 lead. I guickly realized that I had to win for eh to get points. My team mates had some good runs, but they were just not fast enough to be better than 3rd this time. Speedounet had some good rounds, while Mazzyfred just got better and better each round. NBAA told me to drive safely coz I felt I was faster than the other, so I tried to listen to him. This helped me it seems, because I won the three following rounds, which resulted in one tie, one point to eh and one point to G², 4-1. Then I messed up a little again, but skrekk and Xp did well. So when one of the G² players didn't finish we had another tie. The following round became quite nervewrecking on the last lap. I had a little more than a second on Mazzyfred when I touched a corner mid-way on the last lap. This cost me so much time that Mazzyfred's car soon came into my picture. He had higher speed than me towards the finish, and he came really close to catching up with me from behind with only a 0.09 time difference. 4-2 to eh. In the final round I had an early miss. I passed four drivers, but I was never able to come close to Mazzyfred in front, and G² won the map 5-2.
The match ended 2-2 (7-10, 7-1, 7-2, 2-5) (23-18). Thanks for a fun match G²!

Monday April 3rd Elk Hunters beat the German team KampfOrangen in the SL1 cup final. It was a very intense match, where KO won the first map 7-4. eh fought hard on the next map, and won it 7-6. This gave us a chance to win on the golden map, where we had quite good control and won 5-1. I'd like to thank all the players that contributed to this great accomplishment, especially Gandos and Nanteq who drove the last three matches with me.

SL2 round 6: eh vs oXo[/color:614b15ca5b][/size:614b15ca5b]
We started on Stadium. eh played with NBAA, guom and me. I forgot to take a screen shot, so I only remember Flaming_Shark in oXo's lineup. I was in a good mood when the match started, after I did a 1080 degree spin on the nose of the car during the warm ups. I won the first round, but Flaming_Shark was right behind me. guom ended up outside the track, so oXo took the point. I won again in the next round, and this time eh got the point. Next it was time for me to crash, and oXo took the point. After that I landed on the roof after the cut, but somehow I managed to get back on my wheels after a while. On the way to the finish both goum and an oXo player went off the track, and I secured a draw some 10 seconds behind NBAA who won. But now Flaming_Shark was in a very good period, while the eh players were unstable. The score went to 4-2. At most oXo had a 7-4 lead, but eh found back to some sort of form and came back to 7-6. But this was the closest oXo allowed us. Again eh was one point behind on 9-8, but another failiure by me resulted in a 10-8 win for oXo. oXo won because of a much better team consistency. The eh drivers had 3 of the 4 best times.
Next was the first coast map with some speed since round 1 (about time!). goum said bye bye and skrekk joined eh. Bourrik, Pegasus and Maka drove for oXo. Maka won the first round in front of NBAA and me. skrekk secured the point. Next it was me in front of Maka and skrekk. On this map it was never any question who would win. In front it was a fight between Maka, NBAA and me for the most part, with skrekk visiting us front time to time. Maka was probably the most consistent one, but it didn't help much when he was crowded by eh players. eh won this map 7-0.
Now we moved on to bay. Ken entered for Bourrik and we were ready to go. oXo took the lead with good drives from Maka and Ken, while skrekk and I crashed. Then it was the oXo players' turn to crash, while NBAA and skrekk kept moving. eh took another point in the next round to make it 2-1. Now Maka was awake and lead oXo to 2-2. Maka was actually really impressive on this map, and won a lot of rounds in good times. NBAA also was in good shape, making very few mistakes. skrekk and I was a little more on and off, but as a team eh was more consistent. A few rounds into the map I started having very good starts, getting the lead towards the first jump. I think this was rather important, because Maka seemed to get a little more stressed and made some errors. And even though Maka still won several rounds, eh got point after point. skrekk and I went fishing at 6-2, but in the next round we finished it to make it 7-3.
On Island Rustray came in for skrekk with small amounts of training. I forgot to save the screen again, but Maka and Ken drove for oXo (Ken or another guy with a very flashy red name :P). Ken won the first round, but eh had 2-3-5 and took the point. Next he got company by his team mates and tied the score. At this time of the map I was in horrible shape, I missed the downhill, crashed in the tunnel and gave Rustray and NBAA, who drove average rounds, a lot of misery. oXo, with Ken in front went on to take the lead 3-1. Then I finally woke up. I set a pb, and NBAA followed up with 3rd place. Unfortunately Rustray didn't manage to finish and it was a draw. Therefore I had no other choice than to set another pb in the next round, and so did NBAA behind me to make it 3-2. Ken won the next round, but eh took the point to tie the match. I was on a roll now, and won again. But now Rustray had another bad round, so we got another tie. Just after the start on the next round I bumped into the wall, but I was still in the game. Unfortunately I got a lag/freeze frame exactly when I was about to do the difficult "zig-zag" in the tunnel. So I smashed into the tunnel wall and lost precious time. On the last round I was in the lead for more than one lap, but I was a bit unfocused now and crashed again. oXo then finished with 1-2-4 and secured a 5-3 victory. I must give credit to oXo. Out of the opponents we've met so far, I think oXo has the strongest Island team.
It ended 2-2 (25-18; 8-10, 7-0, 7-3, 3-5). Last time we had a draw was in the first match. That time we won Island and Stadium, this time we won Bay and Coast. If only we could do it all at the same time. :P
This was an exciting match with high tension and lots of fun all the way. Both teams fought for every single point, and nothing was said before we crossed the finish line. GG oXo for making this a great evening! 2-2 is a fair result in this match I think.

SL2 round 5: eh vs hal-ko²[/color:05d92b27f2][/size:05d92b27f2]
On stadium hal-ko² entered with Starbuck, Grizzly and t!m and eh with NBAA, guom and me. The first point went to hal-ko² after a nice win by Grizzly. In the next round goum hit a pole while he was in the lead, but eh still got the point after I beat Grizzly at the finish line. Now I had a couple of good runs while NBAA was coming into the mood, and in the middle of the map he made some really good rounds. Soon guom also woke up after his crashing start and set 2 pb's. Grizzly was always around, and set the fastest time of the map at one occation. Starbuck also made some good runs, but was a bit more unstable. There were four players within 0.10 seconds when it comes to their best times during the map. So it was close, intense and fun all the way. But overall eh was more consistent and at a higher level than hal-ko². t!m also seemed a bit unprepared, so eh won controlled 10-3.
On Island Rustray took over for guom, while DonTubo took the spot of Grizzly. NBAA was very consistent on this map and was overall the best player out there. DonTubo and Starbuck both made some very good rounds, and they won one round each. Rustray didn't do the best times out there, but he was probably the most consistent one. He was never far behind and secured the points whenever NBAA or I messed up. I was quite happy with my own performence out there, and in several rounds I past the Starbuck and DonTubo in the uphill after ca 40-45 seconds after they made really good starts. Maybe they forgot to train the last part of the map? :p In the last round I set a new pb with 1.01.07. eh won 7-0, mainly because we had three players fighting in front and hal-ko² only had two.
Bay was a bit closer, and given the fact that it was so easy to hit a pole or two (or three like I did some times :p), it was hard to know which team got the point before the players crossed the line. It started well for eh though, with NBAA in great shape. I had some trouble adjusting to the map and was at this point only able to finish within the time limit. In the 3rd round I finally made a decent round when I finished behind NBAA, and eh had a 3-0 lead. So now I finally found my form, but at this point my team mates started making mistakes while hal-ko², with Grizzly back on the team, woke up and took two points. Next eh took the lead 4-2 after NBAA passed me close to the finish when I got some huge lags thanks to Norton Live Update (dunno how I managed to finish that one). After restarting the game and turning Norton off, I needed again a couple of rounds to get back in racing form, something that hal-ko² took advantage of. t!m, Grizzly and DonTubo all did some good rounds and tied the map at 4-4. We realized that it was time to stop crashing after this, and eh took three points in a row to make it 7-4.
guom and Xp joined me for coast, while t!m, Grizzly and Starbuck drove for hal-ko². After starting rather poorly on the first two maps, t!m had finally arrived at his environment. He won eight rounds, and only lost the last one after a huge crash just before the finish. I was able to manage his times on training, but I guess I was tired after a long match. hal-ko² took the first point after guom crashed on the last lap. Next eh finished together 2-3-4 and tied the score with Xp as the best driver. This way the points went to both teams. eh had a 2-1 lead, then hal-ko² took a 3-2 lead and later the match was tied at 4-4. So it all came down to the final point. We arrive at the first jump, and both Xp and I are a bit far to the left. Xp flips off the side of the jump while I barely make it after slowing down a little. Because I slowed down I land on the edge on the far side of the landing platform and flip around (I guess someone wanted to show the great eh logo underneath my car to the rest of the field :p). I get back on my wheels on top of the fence. Both Xp and I lost some 10 seconds on this, and the round was in reality already decided after 15 seconds. GG to hal-ko² who deserved the map win 5-4 with such a great performence by t!m in front.
End result: 3-1 (10-3, 7-0, 7-4, 4-5). eh played the best match so far this season. I wonder if NBAA will be able to sleep tonight, given the fact that he was ecstatic after the match about his Island performence. It was fun to play against t!m (and of course beating him on three maps) after he played with eh in LE6. I hope hal-ko² had as much fun in this match as we did. Cya soon ;)

SL2 round 4: eh vs Lr[/size:8e8c844569][/color:8e8c844569]
We started on stadium. The Lr line-up was Naighty, SpeedraceR and Starbuck. eh played with NBAA, skrekk and me. The match started first at 20:55, mainly due to bugs. First we had to restart the server because the points were wrong. The problem with restarting is that the server list seems to refresh only every 5th minute or so. And then we get the bug where the server shows fewer player spots than was set, so we had to restart again. This time it took even longer for the server to reappear. I actually had time to go to the kitchen and make a sandwich, come back and eat it before the server reappeared.
But finally we were able to start. I won the first round, followed by skrekk and Nighty. Next round I won again, with Nighty and SpeedraceR just behind me and skrekk in 4th. Both NBAA and wrc jumped off the track so that we got a tie, and it looked rather silly watching them spinning circles on the grass. NBAA had something to prove the next round I guess, cause he drove like a bullet and won the round. Next it was my turn to win again, before skrekk got into a really good period, winning several rounds. In the middle of this Lr got their only point after all the elk hunters crashed in front. In the end this map was pretty one-sided, and the only one able to keep up from Lr was Nighty. eh won 10-1.
Next we moved on to Island. Rustray came in for skrekk. DDLM played for Lr (don't remember the other two). This map was about me and NBAA fighting for the top position, with Rustray securing the points just behind us. DDLM had some good rounds, and won one after the rest of us crashed. But there was never any doubt where the points would go, and eh easily won 7-0.
Next it was coast. eh played with Insomnia, Rustray and Execut3r (his debut) while Lr had wrc, SpeedraceR and Starbuck on the track. Here wrc, SpeedraceR and Rustray fought in front, with the other three in a group a little behind them. SpeedraceR and wrc often had a small advantage on Rustray towards the end. But then there was that pesky bridge before the finish, and here either SpeedraceR or wrc usually crashed, allowing Rustray to advance to 2nd. But when Lr always had two out of the first three, all Starbuck had to do was finish (and he usually ended 4th or 5th), so Lr got point after point and dominated the map. eh came very close to get a point in the last round, but Lr deserved the 7-0 win.
Last we played the bay map. wrc, SadHik and Cyrlaur played for Lr and skrekk and I rejoined Rustray. Lr impressed during the warmups, but when the first round started, they all messed up so that I won in front of skrekk and Rustray. In the next round Lr decided to show that they were just as good, and did a clean sweep with wrc in front. In the next round I had a really good start, while all others made mistakes. I crashed hard in a tunnel on the 3rd lap, but still after having respawned I had a comfortable lead and did 2:02. eh took the lead 2-1. I had a really good day on bay tonight, and even without much practice I was consistent. I drove 2:00 - 1:59 - 2:00 in the next rounds (including pb), which resulted in a tie and 2 points for eh. At 4-1 I lost my focus, and wrc grabbed the chance to win another round. But all other players hit walls and bumps. eh crashed less than the other Lr players, and finished 2-3-4 with me jumping past my team mates on the very last jump. eh won the map 5-1. This map was close, and we had to work for it.
eh won the match 3-1. We had a fun match, and it was greeeeeeaaaaaat to win again. I hope Lr had fun too, even though all maps except bay was quite one-sided. GL in your next matches!

As usual we started on Stadium. C-K had MAD-MAX, Tom and Bobby. eh had guom, Nanteq and me. It started with a point to eh, but after that C-K struck back to gain a 2-1 lead. Mad-Max was on fire early on and did some 39.9x. eh then started driving pretty well as a team, and advanced to a 5-3 lead. But the C-K players were fast, and tied the match again to 5-5. At this point the teams changed on crashing, especially at the cut at the start and the hard finish. eh crashed more at the cut and C-K crashed more at the finish. The teams changed on getting points till 8-7 for eh. Then C-K drove very well as a team, and no matter how much eh crashed, C-K took the points to win 10-8.
Next it was coast (eh with guom, skrekk and Gandos). From what I hear, C-K took a 4-1 lead. After that Gandos was in great shape and won five rounds in a row. eh took the lead 5-4. But C-K got their act together and finished the map with a 7-5 win.
On bay C-K was better as a team and won 7-3.
Nanteq was supposed to play the Island lap map, but he suddenly disappeared at the end of the last warm up (he is yet to be found :P ). skrekk and his keyboard took his place, and we were ready to go. C-K had Bat, maniaProof and Garfield, while Gandos and I played with skrekk. eh won the first point with me finishing in front of Gandos at the same time. The next round was similar, but the difference was around 1 second. maniaProof (with a pb) and Bat tok care of the next round when Gandos and I crashed a lot together. skrekk was the best eh and set a pb. Next round Bat won in front of me and Gandos. With skrekk in 5th (another pb) eh took the point. Then we had a nice tie, as skrekk jumped off the track in the last turn. Bat won again the round thereafter. I was about to overtake him in the last tunnel, but I crashed. But I still got 3rd after Gandos. eh took the point, cause noone else finished. Gandos now won a round, followed by maniaProof and Bat, with me in 4th. Garfield managed to finish just ahead of skrekk, and C-K reduced to 4-2. eh won the last point after a win by me with skrekk and Gandos 4th and 5th.
A nice and close match C-K. Congrats with the victory! Again we met a very well prepared team. This time we put up a good fight I think, and the match could very well have tipped the other way on stadium and coast. We had fun, and I think C-K had fun too. GL in your other matches!

We had a nice match today. We started on snow, a map I didn't play in the normal league. Wity was very consistent just before the match, but struggled a little in the beginning. Philstar played a nice match given that he last played in December. Ikar was in an impossible mood, and usually won. When he didn't his team mates stepped up and closed the deal. Not that it wasn't a really close map, cause i was. But SFO was just a little bit better and still won easily 7-1.
Next we played desert. This was a very close map, and eh had a 4-3 lead. Then I made 2 bad rounds in a row, giving away points since t!m and Wity did their job. Then I regained my focus, but my team mates had lost theirs, so SFO won 7-4.
GL in the next round!

SL2 round 2: eh vs GKC[/color:67f04b277c][/size:67f04b277c]
This will be a short report, as I really don't have time for it...
We started on Stadium. GKC was clearly better prepared, which showed on their consistency. All eh players were able to follow the GKC players from time to time, but more often it was crashmania for them. GKC always had at least two players finishing in good times, while eh had only one or none. So not surprisingly GKC got point after point, before they allowed eh one consolation point towards the end. Final score 10-1.
The eh nightmare continued on the bay map. GKC had 3 players who drove consistently 58-1.00. I had a couple of wins, but more often I made mistakes I never did in training (I didn't do those I did in training though :) ). GKC showed no mercy. I kinda feel a little bad for Xp, who did a nice job in his first match for eh. But this was not a match for newbies :D
Next we played Island. Things looked a bit better on this environment, and for the first time in the match GKC had to fight for the points. They got a good start though, partly because of my many mistakes, and ran ahead to a 5-0 lead. But at this point I started making less mistakes, and so did my team mates. I set a couple of pb's with 54s and eh took three points in a row. But eh started taking points too late, and with a couple of tunnel crashes the map was over with 7-3.
The last map was coast lap map. I didn't play, but from what I hear GKC had two players driving 1.52-1.54. The eh players were not able to match this, and GKC easlily won 5-0, concluding a 4-0 win.
GKC will no doubt finish top 2 in this division if they keep up this level later in the season. In my opinion they are good enough for D1. GG GKC! You truely deserved to win! Next week I think we'll have to train a little more :D

SL2 Round 1: eh vs TX[/color:848de73f9a][/size:848de73f9a]
We started on the new stadium environment, and I have to say that it works rather well for team play. Here it's possible to make small mistakes and still come back. Doing that on bay or Island could prove fatal. TX started with Winnie Slig and Sim (Sim had to enter just at the start because another player had problems) and eh started with guom, NBAA and me. NBAA started well, but with Slig, Sim and Winnie on his heels, TX took the point. Next time it was my turn, and luckily I had NBAA and guom with me to even the score. But guom and I were inconsistent on this map, and TX had a great consistency and took the next point. But consistency isn't all, bacause when NBAA and I didn't crash we were a little faster than the TX players, and this was a huge advantage. eh got into gear and grabbed a 8-3 lead. But TX didn't give up and started performing rather well towards the end, especially the reserve Sim. But the eh lead was too big, and eh won 10-6.
Next we had the Island map, and the same pattern appeared here: TX was the most consistent team, while eh had the fastest players. TX played with DelNuelo, Sim and Slig, and eh played with NBAA, Mental_Alloy and me. This was Mental_Alloy's first league match, and he did pretty well for a newbie and grabbed a couple of 2nd places. This map was the map where the poorest play was performed. All players crashed a lot. Most rounds were very close and the many crashes in the last 15 seconds of the map decided which team grabbed the point. Here NBAA was the player that separated the two squads. With him eh won 7-2, which doesn't really reflect how close most rounds were.
On coast Insomnia and guom joined me, while Magic joined TX. TX showed some really impressive team play on this map, with the whole team driving 1.01 in most rounds. guom didn't have his best day, probably because he hadn't played a match since November. Insomnia also had some crashing trouble. I realized rather quickly that my team was in trouble against a solid TX squad. I also realized that I really liked the map! I won most rounds, but the points kept going to TX, who grabbed a 4-1 lead. I crashed a couple of times in some late signs while leading, but when that happened guom and Insomnia also crashed to give TX 1-2-3s :P But guom and Insomnia got their acts a little together, and with a little more pressure TX started making small mistakes. eh was able to close the gap to 6-4, but in the end TX won a deserved 7-4 victory.
Last it was the bay lap map. A rather technical one, which just lured the players into traps. :D Insomnia came in again for eh. On this map, as during the whole match, the TX players were still very consistent. It turned out that it was up to NBAA and me to finish 1-2 or 1-3 for eh to get points (at least most of the time). I started well, but I had three TX players behind me. Then TX grabbed a 2-0 lead and I was starting to worry. But I didn't have to. NBAA came out of his coma and started performing better and better. eh took three points in a row, with 3 pbs for me and a very nice 2.04 by NBAA. Then we lost a little focus, and TX took full advantage of it to get back into the lead 4-3. eh answered again and it all came down to the last round. By this time the match had been going on for three hours, and we were a bit tired. I guess we can blame the delays equally between the two teams. NBAA and I drove in front for more than two laps. On the third lap I managed to only get two wheels on the jump getting up from the dock area. Then we were sold, because after NBAA came three very hungry TX players. Just to ensure that I let down my team properly I did the exact same mistake on the last lap :P TX took the map 5-4.
GG to TX! We had a really good time playing against you. With the final score 2-2, we got a draw the first time it was possible. This is just how it's supposed to be I think. GL later in the season! With such a good team consistency that you have, you'll do quite well. ;)

SL2 will start March 1st. This season should be a lot of fun, especially since there will be one TM Nations’ map each week. With four environments this could result in some ties. At this moment we really need more players as some key players won’t be much available this season. If you want to join is for a good time in SL2, please contact me on: aassie@elkracing.com

Elk Hunters secured the 2nd place in LE6 earlier this week. For seven matches we shared the top spot with the strong French team SFO. In the eighth match when we met them, they proved too strong for us and eh suffered its first defeat since October (8 straight wins). LE6 was therefore by far the best season in the history of the team. This great result was partly because of the great performances by the newcomers t!m and Wity, but also because old team members were better than earlier seasons.
eh is also ready for the SL1 cup final, where we’ll meet KO sometime in March. On the way to the final the team beat strong teams like SFO and TEP. It should be a very exciting final, and we are really looking forward to it.

You might have noticed that new box at the left side of the website. It's something called TMLiveBroadcast. Whenever we have a match going on the result will be transfered into that litle window live, so people not playing can always see what's happening. And the results from our last played match will stay there untill next time we play a game. All we have to to is use some software similar to TMTicker whenever we play a match, and I hope someone is going to do that in the upcoming matches ;)
Anyway, I think it's pretty neat, big thx to TP>>Insomnia for making this great tool :)
We now have some new people in the squad. Philstar (22) from UK, Wity (29) from Belgium and t!m (16) from Germany. I heard they're good racers, so I'm looking forward to watch you on the tracks soon! The team is now more international than ever consisting of people from six different contries.
The team just played the last round in SL1, finishing at a rank of 5th place in division 1. (unless YS do a 3-0 in their remaing match against SFO). We've had our up's and down's this season (or rather down and up if you know what I mean), but 5th place in div 1 is our best result ever, and it's cool to see that the Elk Hunters have become strong enough to kick some ass even in div 1.
Now we're getting ready for the Sunrise cup and LE6, where we also seem to end up in div 1. Good luck with that and happy driving }:)

This is it! The video is finally here, and I can promise you, this is no normal tm video, it's unlike anything you have ever seen before. It's hard to explain how cool it is, you just have to watch it for yourself. Well done eh~MentalAlloy!

A new racer has now joined the clan of elk hunters! His name is Mental Alloy and he comes from Norway. He claims that his driving performance is not yet on the level of our team, but we'll just see...I don't think it's that bad ;) Anyway, what I think is Mental Alloy's strongest side is his skills in multimedia creations, so expect lots of cool stuff coming, for instance there's a rumour about some video to be released soon ;)

For the Elk Hunters the Sunrise leauge season 0 has just ended. In our group we got a final result of 2nd place, which I think we're all very happy with :) Throughout the season we only lost one game against the winner SFO.
The 2nd place made us qualify for the playoffs, where we played and lost the first round today. The opponent YS| won Coast and Bay, but we got them on Island, and as a matter of fact we are still unbeaten on that enviroment! GG, keep it up!
This has been a very nice and fun season for the team, thx to all the hunters for your impressive driving. Only one more powerup match now and we can take our well earned vacation };)

27-1!!! This week featured our very first Sunrise match and what a great start! This is our biggest victory ever, as our opponent, hors, only managed to grab one point on the Bay enviroment. gg :)
In other (not so important ;) news, we lost our match against TP>> 2-1 in the first round of season 5 of the PowerUp league. Still this was also a fun game.

LE6 round 9: eh vs hal-ko[/color:b5eb9fd8e4][/size:b5eb9fd8e4]
The last match of the season, but still with some tension left. The clash between these two slightly unmotivated teams at the end of a season with more ghosts and delays than matches would decide which team would finish 2nd, after hal-ko got some easy points when GTi forfeited. None of the teams had practiced much, but it was still a fun match. It was also an weird match for t!m, who played several seasons for hal, and still do on TMS.
We started on the snow map. eh played with Gandos, Wity and myself. I forgot to save screens, and therefore I don't remember who played the maps for hal-ko. Instead of remembering one or two players per map, I choose to not mention any players out of respect for those I don't remember (better insulting the whole team than individual players :P). This was a buggy map, with at least 7 places where random rebounds occured (how did this pass your control Mazzy after how picky you seemed to be with my maps?). It also contained a cut early on that eh didn't know about. I didn't check for any SCs this time, taking the chance that there was none... :P So even though the eh players seemed to be faster on all other parts of the map, we couldn't do squat when they gained 2 seconds on the cut.
So I decided I had to try to do that cut.
- Step 1: finding it. This cost me rounds 3 and 4.
- Step 2: Learning it: this cut down hal-ko's advantage and I even set a PB doing the SC quite poorly.
- Step 3: Doing the SC well. This happened in round 7, and I was on my way to a good 59 when I got a bad rebound at that pesky last jump and landed outside the road. :P
GG to hal-ko who won this map 7-0. SCs are a part of this game, and it's our fault that we didn't take the time to search for them.
Next it was a good (in my opinion) classical rally map. This map had a small cut early on, and the first thing I did was to try to chop down a tree. The rally car is obviously neither sharp enough or heavy enough to lay down the tree, so the tree won and chopped me down. Luckily I had Gandos and t!m with me on this map, and they saved the point. I answered in the next round with 56.85 (in your face tree!). Now I did some good consistent runs, usually winning in front of Gandos or t!m (I passed t!m in the last turn in one round, sorry mate :P). At 5-0 to eh I missed the cut again. It turns out that the trees were co-operating today, and this time it was the other tree that gave me a puff. With the wall playing catcher, it was no other way than to respawn. But it didn't matter anyway. hal-ko drove excellent and finished 1-2-3 and got their first point of the map. The cut didn't let me down anymore, I got some more wins and eh won the map 7-2.
So it was all up to the kinda tricky desert lap map to decide. This was the only close map this evening, and all drivers fought side by side. All players shifted on making small mistakes, and sometimes one or two big ones. The score went: 1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3. So this was really an intense battle, and most rounds were decided on the last lap. So also in the next round, which in reality decided the match. Both Gandos and I made some early mistakes, and hal-ko had two players in front for two laps, and I felt the point slipping away to excellent pace in front. But then one of them crashed, and eh suddenly had 2-3-4, which we managed to keep to the finish, even though t!m nearly blew it when he slid close to the end. This boosted eh's self confidence, and in the last round I had control in front with t!m in 2nd and Gandos in 4th. I could even afford myself a little safe driving on the last lap and the victory was ours 5-3. It was very fun to drive this map with two so equal teams. Thanks hal-ko!
So we conclude the season with a fun 2-1 match against a strong competitor. GG hal-ko!
This season went waaaaay beyond our wildest dreams. We finished some 10-12 places higher than we were aiming for back in November :D Obviously we trained a bit more than we had planned on too, but it was worth it. :)
Now we are looking forward to SL2. And btw, we could use some hungry additional players for this season. Gandos will most likely not be able to play any matches in a few months, and some old players seem to be a bit unmotivated. Without the joyful arrival of the LM players, our stable would be very skinny at this moment, but one or two more players would be very good for the team. Thanks for the fun everyone, cya soon! :D

LE6 round 8: eh vs SFO[/color:4425cc4364][/size:4425cc4364]
After round 8 had been postponed one week, we were finally ready to go last Tuesday. At this point in the season, such delays really puts a blow to the motivation to keep the maps alive. Wity didn't have any time to train during the weekend, and I was still hangover from my ski 'n drink weekend in Hemsedal. But enough with the bad excuses :P
We started on desert, SFO with ikar, Riptor and Doubledor, eh with Gandos, t!m and me. Riptor took the first round in front of me and Gandos. t!m managed to finish 5th, so eh took the lead. The next round was also decided by the two last players, but this time it went in SFO's favour and it was 1-1. From this point on SFO started some good team performence, while eh drove more and more appaling, making stupid mistakes. Riptor and ikar often drove around 1.00.00. Not incredible times, but indeed high quality with regularity. I kept on crashing, partly because of strong opponents, partly because of low focus and partly because of wheel trouble. At 4-1 to SFO they were nice enough to let me restart the game (Thanks :D). This fixed my technical problem and we started the rest of the map. I won the next three rounds closely followed by the SFOs, thus resluting in only one point to eh. In the last round I crashed early on, and SFO only had to cruise in to victory 7-2.
Next we went on to a classical map, which is one of the most technical maps thoughout LE. Doubledor substituted with Dridri, while eh continued with the same team. eh got off to a good start again, with Gandos leading the way in front of me. Gandos continued in the next round, and I followed closely untill I made an unforced error, cutting a corner too short. ikar, Dridri and Riptor rushed by to take the point. It's fair to say that all players crashed a lot during the next rounds, and the teams switched on taking the points till 3-3. In the rounds from this point I have to apologize to my team, because my amount of stupid, unfocused errors was incredibly high. It's one thing to crash on a difficult jump, it's another thing to crash in the easiest turn of the map :P And then you have the domino effect: When I keep performing below my normal level, I drag my team mates down with me. This also works the other way, in that when one player keeps playing very good, the other team members also start hightening their performence. So SFO started driving better, and eh worse. SFO won the map 7-4 or 7-3 (don't remember).
Last it was rally time. Here Tututte and Vp joined ikar, and Wity took t!m's spot. ikar won the first round in a high 2.19 in front of Tututte and me. In the next round Tututte did a superb 2.18 with ikar and Vp closely behind. I jumped around in some tunnels and stuff and finished last. Then ikar won in 2.20 followed by his team mates, while I bounced into another time in the 2.30s :P eh was demotivated on this map, while SFO performed at an incredibly high level both individualy and as a team. Their display on this map is probably the best I've ever seen in all my matches! SFO took another 1-2-3 in the fourth round. In the last round I decided it was time to show that I wasn't a complete doof, and I tried to focus. It was an intense fight with Tututte, ikar and me. Passing two laps we were all on top of each other, and in the hard left turn early on the map we all made mistakes. Fortunately mine was a little smaller and I got a lead that I was able to hold to the finish and win a few tenths in front of ikar and Tututte in 1.19. Vp was not far behind either so SFO got another point to win 5-0. Gandos and Wity also did ok. But when in most other matches 2.23s would be more than enough, against this SFO performence they had no chance.
A huge GG to SFO. They are really worthy winners of LE6. It's too bad that my team played its worst match this season and I was at my worst since LE4. But even if we had been at our very best, I still think SFO would have won on Tuesday. Allthough the snow map could have been really close :)

SL1 cup semi final: eh vs TEP[/color:46a3c9bd0d][/size:46a3c9bd0d]
We started on coast. TEP with Ande Vache and JuJu, eh with Gandos, Nanteq and me. This was usually a fight between Andy, Gandos and me, but the other three wasn't far behind. So once any of the front three made a mistake, they were last. Andy had some very good runs on the first half of the map, while I and sometimes Gandos made very good finishes to catch him. Gandos made the best time on this map, with Andy and me close behind. As a matter of fact, I think all players had a time within a second of what Gandos did at best. So we had a lot of intense racing, but eh seemed to have a little more consistency as a team. Early it was 3-2 to eh, then eh took a 5-2 lead. But TEP didn't give up and came as close as 5-4. But they never came any close, as the elk hunter machinery really started working. So 7-4 to eh on the first map.
On the bay map it was one-sided all the way. Even when the eh players crashed early on, they still got the points. Not that the TEP players didn't perform individually, cause they did, but they didn't have any consistency. They got one point when nanteq mistook "dsl" for "del", but they diserved that point, because they would have gotten it even if Nanteq and I had finished. So it ended 7-1 to eh.
Thanks for the fun match and GL in SL2!

LE6 Round 7: eh vs GTi[/color:7ded5f40d0][/size:7ded5f40d0]
We started on the rally map. eh got off to a good start and took a 3-0 lead. Then GTi stopped making many mistakes, while eh started doing them. With a very consistent team play, GTi got point after point. I knew GTi had a good rally team before the match, so I was surprised that we could match their times. What we couldn't match was their great consistency once they got warmed up. GTi took point after point (some of them because of late eh crashes) and ended up winning the map 7-3.
Now it was the oldie map "Spidertrack" on desert. I never liked this track because of the 3 places where bad rebounds occur from time to time (I had one on each place during the match). The rounds on this map were decided by the mistakes. Most rounds were won in 59", and in the four first rounds four different players took the first place. t!m had a good map, and luckily he only had pad problems in one of the rounds, which was quite good considering the amount he had the day before. I also had wheel problems in a couple of rounds, but I bit my tongue to get the focus elsewhere :P After a close start, eh started getting the points and won the map 7-3.
On the snow lap map it started well for my team, as I finished first in a moderate time, and this was what gave eh the point. In the next round Sky has the lead at the last CP, but I get good speed after the landing of the tilted jump, and I catch him at the line to win with 0.01 seconds. But there are three GTi's after me, so they get the point to make it 1-1. Next I take 1st, OMfrancky 2nd and Gandos 3rd. Point for eh you say? No... Wity decides to go into stunt mode and never reaches the finish. So it's a draw. Next eh takes the lead 2-1 and Gandos asks for a break because he has lags (something he had during the warmups which forced t!m the spectator to leave). He restarted his game and we were ready to go again. Two more rounds with close battles with OMfrancky, Sky, Gandos and me ends with one point to each team (wins by OMfrancky and Gandos). In the next round it happens again: I'm behind OMfrancky at the end of the last lap, I make a good jump, enters the last tube beside him and beats him by 0.01 on the line. And this time it decides the point. eh wins this map 5-2 with a 1-2-4 by me, Gandos and Wity in the last round.
eh wins the match 2-1 (3-7, 7-3, 5-2). I have to give most of the credit to my team mates for this one, because I played my worst match in LE6. I was on average 1 second above my times from the eh qualik and I'm disappointed in my own performence. So GG t!m, Wity and Gandos! You were awesome! Congrats to GTi for a close and good match. It was for sure the most exciting one for us since DnD in round 1.

eh wins 2-0 (7-2, 7-1)
We started on coast. The first 4 rounds was a fight between me and Doubledor, and we won two each. But the score was 3-1. After a while Gandos started winning some rounds too, and with Nanteq not far behind, the points went to eh who won 7-2.
We switched server for the bay map. In several rounds I slid in the same turn, but when I didn't I usually won, followed by Vp. Gandos also played well and was there when Vp and I made mistakes. Nanteq made a few good runs, but had a crashing day. So with basically 3 vs 1 eh got some easy points and won the map 7-1.
SFO seemed anprepared and unmotivated. Also two of their players suddenly couldn't play. I have no idea why... I hope for a better fight in LE6.
I was quite happy when Gandos said he would be able to play this winter afterall on Sunday, and this motivated me a lot for this match. Now let's see what happens in the semi final.

Both teams faced ghost in round 6, so we decided to play this match a week later because we had a lack of players (don't say there aren't any benefits from ghosts :P).
We started on desert, a nice, fast map by Wity were it was very hard to stay consistent. TnT played with grobi, Ellow and Maxou. Gandos, t!m and I played for eh. The first round was a bouncing one, where all crashed, several after the last CP. The first to cross the line was grobi and TnT got the point. In the next two rounds we got some more crashes, and each team took a point. At this point I finally came to my senses, and did a 56. My team mates did what was needed and it was 2-2. From that point on I was consistent on 55,
